outfit of the day

Hello doves! About a month back I was out shopping with my sisters…they all live away from home and after a long time my Di was in town. It was so much fun to go out shopping with them after so long. We literally descended on the stores like warriors on a mission 😀 Since Diwali was around the corner the stores were packed with new stock in all colors of the rainbow and beyond. I especially love browsing the in house brand of Lifestyle called Melange and they do very pretty pieces with a whole boho chic vibe to them. I spotted a sister piece of the one I’m wearing and so fell in love with the riot colors in it. The deep blue body part in that was a deep sea green and the yolk was a mix of pinks and purple. Then I spotted this piece and quickly added it to my growing pile of trial outfits.

I like how the asymmetrical edge adds to the uniqueness of it all

The material is quite thin and light and literally flows on the body. The sea green one though was pretty but didn’t work in the end for me as it was drawing the eye to the lower half of my body which is a problem area(s) me. This one did just the opposite with the pattern on the top half acting like a pseudo empire waist for it thus providing the needed slimming effect. Once can even wear it like a dress with some lower inner so as to not have their Marilyn Monroe moment 😀 Seriously a little breeze and it goes flowing…

Bright and bold! Loving how the yellow makes it pop

I paired it with my fav pair of slacks ie a LE pair I got from Marks & Spencer. They are super soft and comfy. A lot of these slacks have an elastic band which is hard and digs into your skin but I can sleep comfortably in these. They don’t have the standard “churis” of our traditional slacks but that’s all right. If you do manage to find a pair then just leap on them without a thought. It has been a couple of years since I bought em and I’m yet to find them again. There were 2-3 colors available it in back then.

Love me some rings!
I bought these set of gold rings from Born Pretty. You can stack them any which way and create a whole range of designs. In the pic above, I’m wearing a rope like necklace that I found in an exhibition. Its design is quite interesting as it looks like there are stones inside it but they really arent there. I got this in a silver too for tops where I like to wear delicate neck pieces with as they already have a lot going on.

I’m all about the n*de colored footwear now and they have replaced my favorite of years…the omnipresent black :D. I found these pair at Lavie. Didn’t know that they did footwear and I liked those a whole lot more than their bags. This pair is so soft and comfortable to wear! I especially am attracted to the metal detailing on it. The zip on the back of it makes it a snug fit. Well that’s it from me. Do let me know what you guys thought of this look. I will see you soon…buh bye!
