Makeup Eraser

You come across the darnedest things on Instagram 😀 From the completely weird and kooky to some of the most genius and creative. I love browsing through my feed each day! Btw if you want to see what I post you can follow me at (insert shameless self promotion here 😛 ) – http://instagram.com/sorellegrapevine. Well now that’s out of the way lets go back to the topic. I saw a couple of MUA’s that I follow on insta talk about this Makeup Eraser and I was quite flummoxed! How can a a piece of cloth remove makeup sans any product?!? Just water?!? What about that makeup remover? Or the oodles of cotton? Or the face wash? Or that constant rubbing and tugging??? Ok I need to see this for myself! Luckily my sis was about to drop by from US so I asked her to get this for me. Btw they have recently started International shipping.

I made a demo vid for you guys so that you can see the thing in action. I will do a short review for you here coz mainly the vid says it all. It came in this cardboard box packing as you can see in the image given above. There was a small instruction sheet inside which was very basic. They advise that you wash it before the first use after soaking it for a bit. The cloth is bright pink in color (love!) and is super soft (think baby furry blanket soft). It may seem as if I’m rubbing my skin too much in the vid but really I don’t feel a thing! Just the gentlest massage from the softest imaginable cloth. Like I mentioned in the vid I have used it with warm, cool and room temp water all with the same result.

Just rub your skin in circles and watch it all come out. I have a lot of makeup on as you can see and some of the things are tough to get out. To get the kind of result you see I need to use the big daddies like MAC Cleanse Off Oil or Clinique Take The Day Off Balm. Yes it does require some effort on your part to get off the makeup completely but the point to note is that it ALL of it comes off. I had some problem with the glitter part only but if you find a new patch each time to wipe your skin with even that comes off. And it costs $19.97…can you imagine? Just about 20 bucks (Rs. 1227/- approx) and you can get unlimited uses off it. Just toss it in the machine as and when needed and you are good to go.

Honestly the baniya in me is so happy about all the saving! The wipes, the removers, the cleansing oils 😀 And bloggers think of all those swatches…dip, squeeze, wipe and done! Is it not strange how no one thought of doing this before? How we get loaded upon with one product or the other? Btw I have not used it with water proof makeup as I don’t own any. That being coz I’m allergic to the formula. So with that I wrap up this demo cum review! I hope you guys liked it. Please do leave your comments and suggestions below. Take care!
