Himalaya Herbals Tan Removal Orange Peel Off Mask
Hello my loves! I still remember the time I first tried out a peel off mask. Someone gave us some gifts from US and it was a part of a kit. It was just so strange to try it out and even a tad scary I will admit coz I had no clue how things would go…but it was so so good! Cut to the time when I first tried one from an Indian brand and that thing didn’t even peel off at all coz it was a gooey mess and a half 😛 And let’s not even talk about the one that did dry but ended up waxing my face in the process…ouch!!! That was more than enough to get one to swear off peel off masks forever. It became some what a challenge to find a peel off mask with the right performance out here. Recently Himalaya launched the Tan Removal Orange Peel Off Mask which claims to lighten skin tone from the first use itself. Peel off masks are a great way to remove the dead skin layer and hence bring in a freshness to the skin…was the Himalaya one capable of delivering what it promises or did it miss the mark? Let’s find out…
The product comes in a tube packing with a flip cap which locks in place properly hence preventing any leakage and making it safe for travel. I love the fresh citrus-y smell of it! Ideally I apply a layer which is neither too thick nor too thin – too thick doesn’t dry properly and too thin dries out too fast. The consistency of the mask is slightly thick but you can spread easily thus controlling the thickness of the layer you put on. It dried out within 10-15 minutes like it says on the pack. Now comes the acid test…will it come off easily or leaving me withering in pain minus a few facial hair strands 😀 Well thank the lord that it came off quite nicely without any issue! My skin looked fresh and bright though to be very honest I cant say if it made a difference to my tan in the first go. But my skin was a lot less oily on the day I used it and for that alone I was very thankful. The mask feels cool on the skin and I didn’t feel any tingling on my skin due to it. There is a slight difference in the size of the pores but overall my skin looked fresher.
It is so nice to find a peel off mask that does the job…I have used this 2-3 times already and intend to make this a weekly ritual so that my skin gets the much needed exfoliation like effect from it. Plus if it keeps the oiliness at bay it will help prevent the pimples from forming. I have to adjust my skin routine now so that I can handle the sudden change it went through again. I thought that my skin dryness was due to aging skin but it turns out it was due to my horrible eating habits. Ever since I dropped the fizzy cola drink my skin did a 180 on me and went from super dry to an oil well within the blink of an eye…sigh sometimes you just cant win 😛 Anyhoo do let me know what you think about the review. Have you tried out this mask? What did you think about it? Waiting to hear from you soon…I will see ya around…bye!
