Hey my pretties! I was at the Shopper’s Stop, Juhu store, Mumbai recently and I spotted the YSL counter there. I was on the look out for a concealer since the MAC one I have been using is almost out and as the Touche Eclat has been such a raved product I wanted to see how it worked for me. My friend got hooked to it as well and while she was trying out the Eclat I spotted these beautiful bottles on the side. They actually looked like lip glosses to me and when I started to swatch them I couldn’t help but pick out 2 shades. So here I am presenting to you 1 of the 2 beauties I picked up. Doing an express review again so hold on to your hats 😉

Packing:

* Beautiful black gold rectangle bottle with the YSL logo in red.

* Stands about 3 inches tall roughly

* The cap looks metallic and the base gives off a stone look. Does not look like plastic

* Comes with slanted tip sponge applicator

* Has small windows on 2 sides from where the color is visible

Texture/Smell:

* It has a lovely sweet perfume-y smell to it. Not smelt any lip product like it before. What comes close is a perfume.

* Product contains alcohol in it which I noticed when I was putting it on

* A light liquid gel like texture so unlike a gloss

* Feels like water on the lips when applying and once dry doesn’t feel like you have something on

* Perfect for people who want lip gloss look sans the tackiness/thickness

* Alcohol content does not dry out the lips

* Feels slightly sticky after 2 hrs of wear especially where the lips meet but it fades over time

Pigmentation:

* Very pigmented

* Can be applied sort of sheer and can be built up to full coverage.

* Not transfer proof but does not transfer much

* Color is gorgeous pinkish red color with minute gold shimmer in it

* Shimmer is visible in the tube but does not show up in noticeable way on the lips. Adds dimension to the color

* Color looks very red when first put on but gradually becomes more pinkish red over time

* Looks like lip gloss for the initial few hours but with consumption of food etc acquires a more lipstick like look

* Color does not go away completely over time. Stains the lip

One in the middle is taken in direct sunlight. Bottom one is in natural light

     I must say I am in love with this. Cant find any bad to it and it gets checks in all the boxes from me. I love lip glosses. I love the shine they have and how they look like liquid on the lips. Having worn them for a good part of my life I got used to and didn’t mind the stickiness that some of them have or rather most of them have to an extent. But this is like an answer to one’s prayers. You get the same look as that but without its short comings. Love it!

Would you purchase YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain Rose Tempura again? – For variety’s sake I might not pick up this exact shade. But I’m loving the product line so will be picking up more colors from it.

Would you recommend YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain Rose Tempura to your friend? –  I’m a little apprehensive how it will be for someone with very dry lips. But other than that yes I would recommend it.
