Well a haul could be more tempting than a cinnabon especially if you end up finding that great outfit/jewelry piece or even that makeup item which goes on to become your favorite or maybe even a holy grail (HG). And unlike a cinnabon the satisfaction and pleasure of a haul will last you much longer 😉 Let me tell you the story of my recent haul and the events that led to it….

I was out for a much delayed movie session with my girls. We had been making plans for ages to watch Thor 2. Finally after many cancelled and rescheduled plans we managed to catch it on the very last day (lucky us). We ended up at Imax in Mani Square, Kolkata and entered the hall with high anticipation of all the eye candy we would be getting. Being a 3D flick we got the glasses and honestly they were awful! They were like the sunglasses version of the 3D glass. The film overall has a couple of dark scenes and it became impossible to make out what the heck was going on! I got so fed up with it that I chucked my pair and watched the movie like that. Luckily the 3D was not so hazy that I could not view it like that. Chirs Hemsworth is like such an explosion to ones senses…….hmmmm………just one sec…….ok I’m done…….sigh…..where was I?

After a heavenly movie session and bearing an obnoxious couple who went on talking during the entire thing (really talking? Couldn’t they have done that in the food court? Sitting in the corner seats of the corner row and that is what you want to do with your chick? talk? Such a colossal waste of money! Paid 240 bucks for the tickets and additional what not for munchies whereas he could have just sat down in the food court over a measly cup of coffee and done the same thing! Honestly that was probably the dumbest dude ever :P). Well we headed off to Westside and made a beeline for the Bourjois counter. I picked up a couple of things out which only one was what I actually came for (you know that was coming right).

I picked up the Shine Edition lipstick (the thing I actually wanted) in Famous Fuschia (Rs. 955/-), 1 Second Gel nail paint in Rainbow Apparition (Rs. 470/-), 1 Second Gloss top coat in Grenadine Tonic (Rs. 470/-), Smoky Effect eye pencils in Dark Purple & Grey Shadow (Rs. 365/- each). And for all the money spent I got a Effect 3D Les N*des lipgloss in N*de Egeric for free 🙂 Gadzooks Bourjois is getting heavy on the pocket day by day!

After all the indulgence in makeup it was time to take a gander at the lovely display of outfits. I happen to love Gia – in-house brand of Westside for plus sized women. The Mani Square one has a lovely collection of items. I picked up this white flowy top with a bright splash of flowers on top. I love the English-ness of the design so to speak. Some how I always tend to gravitate towards such items. Since I chucked the label I have no inkling how much I payed for it.

The next thing that caught my fancy was this crop jacket range from Nuon. They had some really funky prints in it and as usual the animal print one caught my eye. I don’t know what it is with me and white tones recently. I just cant resist them for some reason. Very strange especially for someone like me who has been a religious devotee of black. From nail paints to shoes to accessories and now clothes – white seems to be the new mantra for me 🙂 Well some what 😛 I love the texture of the jacket and the gold accents with the buttons and little stars. This one was priced at Rs. 1299/-.

After that nice shopping session we plopped down at Mc D’s and stuffed ourselves among chit chat and gossip. I tried the new veg sandwich of sorts (I forget the name…some exotica or something) and the crispy veg poppers. Was having something from Mc D’s after ages….and no my consciousness (ya right) about my weight was not the reason for it rather the logistics of the situation. You see we have 2 outlets of Mc D’s in our city and both are at a distance from my place. So it is not so convenient to visit the place. As you can imagine I was sitting down with high expectations of the meal but was quite disappointed with it. My suggestion to you would be to avoid both and stick with the regular fare.

And that was another day well spent! Blissful shopping and the company of good friends 🙂 I hope you liked my haul and I know I’m doing a dedicated post for it after a long time. Gotten hooked to Instagram so you can check my mini haul pics out there. But I will be more vocal about them and not give into my laziness so. With that I bid you Adieu Mon Ami 🙂 (hooked on watching Poirot these days). I will see you soon, N’est-ce pas?
