Moi Lavish Hair Oil

I cant even begin to count the sheer number of hair products I have tried over the past few years to make my thinning hair better. While some have been absolute gems a large part of them have been complete duds 🙁 I think my hair was in its best phase when I used to apply natural products on a regular basis. But over the years as life gets busier by the minutes these things start taking a back seat. We all look for the quick fix aka “magic potion” that will make things right. Have I stumbled upon one??? Well lets see…

I was introduced to Moi a couple of months back at an exclusive preview. I spoke with the creator of the brand Ranu Tayal and asked her about her vision for the brand. She is a firm believer of the fact that nature has the answer to all our skin and hair related problems. Being a busy working woman herself she understands the demands of the present lifestyle. Given that she wanted to develop products which were easy to use and also packed a punch. Her research introduced her to the world of aromatherapy and she found what she was looking for. She developed a line of skin, hair and body oils using the best combinations of essential oils and carrier oils. What I really like about the line is that she has a non-fragrant versions too for people who have sensitivity to smell and/or BP problems.

Moi Lavish Hair Oil – a bit about the ingredients

I picked the Lavish Hair Oil as my hair is one of my biggest concerns. The brand claims that this product will thicken and soften the hair, reduce hair fall, help in new growth and also make it shiny. Pretty tall claims from one product don’t you think? It is supposed to contain cold pressed carrier oils like argan and avocado also essential oils like rose and lavender. Well I was game to try out anything and even it was able to slightly help me out I was sold on it. I got this sometime in August and used it once a week minimum till mid November. After that I stopped using the product and it has been roughly 2 months now. So that is 3 months of using it and 2 months being off it. I would leave it in my hair overnight ie a good 7-8 hours.

I have mentioned it before that I usually end up noticing the actual effect of a product when I stop using it. I have sort of made it a part of my testing routine now. Usually the change creeps up on you slowly and you don’t end up realizing the difference something is making fully. I knew that the volume in my hair had increased somewhat and also the hair fall had reduced but now that I’m off it I can make out how much change had actually come about in my hair. My sister who saw me after 6 months remarked on how fuller my hair was looking. I realize now that my hair fall had reduced dramatically, there was volume in my hair, my hair looked healthy and shiny even my dandruff was under control. This stuff really helped me out a lot. It is on the pricey side with 30 ml bottle costing Rs. 2400/-. But you need to use this as a serum and not as a hair oil. By that I mean that you need only a dropper full to saturate your scalp and that’s that.

I still have a little less than 1/4th of it left which I think would last me for about a month and half since I use it once a week. Moi at present is not available in stores or online but they are coming up with the website soon. But if you are interested in placing an order then you can call up their customer service to get what you want. They have a few more products in their line which I will be trying out soon. Do let me know what you think about the review. Will you be interested in trying out products from this line? Waiting to hear from you…Peace out!
