When Dolon of Pout Pretty told me about the Twice As Nice campaign and if I wanted to do it with her, I was so stoked! Since the three of us have gotten together (3rd musketeer being Poorna of Presented by P) we have been thinking of doing a project together. But it never pans out 🙁 Well we are such good friends and share so many characteristics and interests between the three of us so it isn’t strange that we are partners in crime when it comes to laziness as well 😀 But jokes apart I was so glad to be doing this collab with D and hopefully we will break our jinx and bring more such posts for you guys in the future.

 

 

     I have been a very neutral palette kind of person opting for the softer and pastel colors. Though I mix things up for the blog but on a day to day basis I stick to my kajal and coral lippy preferably something with shimmer or gloss. I wouldn’t touch matte lippies with a 10 foot pole! Dolon on the other hand is always dressed like a Diva….bright bold lips and deep dark smokey eyes with her lush hair framing her face. We decided to switch personalities for this campaign! Dolon has done a bright and fresh day look on her blog (she looks adorbs! Check it out here) while I did a dark glam night look. We decided to use the same shade of lipstick and liner to create our looks to help tie them up.

 

 

 

     Since it is for the night I used my favorite foundation and concealer to even the skin tone followed with contouring. I then used a dark matte brown shade on my eyes, a deep peach shade in my crease and a black eyeshadow near my lash line on both lids. I then tight-lined my eyes with kajal and used a glitter liner in the inner corner of my lower lash line. I finished off the eyes with a liner and mascara. I applied a coral blush and a pink matte lippy to finish off the look. The entire makeup took me 15 minutes tops and it is a quick and easy way to glam up. Pair the right accessory with our outfit and step out in style. Using the same makeup items and a little creativity you can create day and night looks…isn’t that Twice As Nice 🙂

 

 

     For your makeup to look flawless you need to have a good canvas. Skincare is essential to ensure problem free skin especially since the summer is beating down our doors so vehemently. Just a basic and regular CTM is more than adequate to keeps things in check. Presently I’m using Garnier Pure Active Neem Purifying Face Wash daily and Garnier Pure Active Exfoliating Face Scrub once a week to help me maintain my skin and keep the pimples at bay. I love the smell of both! The face wash smells very fresh (foresty – hmm is that a word?) while the peach smell of the scrub just makes me want to lick it 🙂 The gel like consistency of the wash removes the oiliness from my skin but helps it to retain its moisture. The creamy scrub with minute particles is very gentle on the skin but at the same time quite effective. Price at Rs 115 (for the scrub) and Rs 90 (for the wash) they are your perfect companions for this summer as together they are Twice As Nice 🙂
