Hey there people! Ok this section has been literally buried for too long now. I do mini reviews on my Instagram now where I put up a small demo for the packs as well as its results after washing it off as well as 12-24 hours later. So in case you have been looking for some face masks you can check those out as well. Before we get any further with this review let me just put up a warning straight off. This is a demo of the product in action and can get graphic (quote unquote). So if you just want to look at pretty things then this is so not the place for you. But if you want to see a product in some proper action then do read on. You have been warned folks 😛 I was sent a couple of masks to try out by LuxaDerme who have recently setup shop in India. They specialize in making mask sheets for your facial and body needs. All the masks are manufactured in Korea. I tried out the Foot Peeling & Exfoliating Mask first coz my feet needed some major TLC.

Instructions

Apart from getting the occasional pedicure I tend to majorly ignore my feet. On top of it I have this habit of going bare feet at home a good part of the year. As time passes by it becomes harder and harder to get the soft feet that one pedicure could deliver when I was younger. Now the pedicurist station looks nothing short of a surgery layout to get all that ish straight! Sigh! Well I wanted to see how effective the Foot Peeling & Exfoliating Mask would be. I took out the socks from the packet and followed the instructions to get them ready for use. Since the socks were slightly wet on the outside coz of the serum they didn’t close properly with the sticking tab provided. But since they were a snug fit it was quite alright. I wore them for about 120 minutes and washed my feet with plain water afterwards. I tried scrapping the thicker skin slightly and my skin started peeling off!

All nice and snug

Ok I know it sounds scary and I was spooked too for a second there but all the thick dead skin came right off with a little scrapping. My feet dont get super smooth after a pedicure like I mentioned and if I compare the results then they looked like I had gotten a pedicure done. The really thick skin came out but there was still a slight roughness to it. They do mention that the skin peels properly after a couple of days and initially I felt that nothing was happening but a few days later I did see it peeling. I soaked my feet in some warm water and used a foot file (the emery board kinds) to get rid of the peeling skin. I had to do this twice in a span of few days before I got rid of all the peeling skin. Now my feet look and feel super smooth like I got a couple of consecutive pedis done! Really I couldn’t be happier!!! I think the entire process took me about 10-12 days start to finish but the results are quite good. One pack costs about Rs. 850/-.

The results are significant. Though it might look that there is still tough skin but the feet feel soft in reality

Addressing some points that might be causing you concern…the entire area that was covered by the socks did end up peeling. The amount of skin varied which I think depends on the layer(s) of dead skin present. No  I didn’t face any kind of problem or discomfort with my skin during the process. Yes after sometime the skin does stop peeling on its own. It would be better that you don’t do this immediately before some big event but give it about a half a month or month’s gap so that the entire process can complete and you have pretty looking feet in the end. Honestly I wasn’t really expecting anything especially since my skin didn’t start peeling within the 4-5 days mentioned on the pack. But I was pleasantly surprised and you can see that the results speak for themselves. And all for a price lesser than a good pedicure. I’m looking forward to trying out the other packs. What do you think about it? Willing to give it a go? Drop me a line with your thoughts. See ya!
