I came across the most interesting thing while surfing a site. China Glaze has recently launched a nail polish range called Tranzitions. Given the current trend of nail art and growing love/craze for it among the population China Glaze has introduced this interesting formula. How does it work?

The idea is that you can change the color of the paint simply by coating it with a clear top coat. You can make different designs with nail art tools and the clear coat. The base color will change mostly to a darker shade in the same tone. It looks so so pretty and I saw a couple of vids where they had created so many interesting designs with the thing.

At present there are 6 shades available in it – Duplicityy (Mint green shifts to vibrant teal), Split Perso-NAIL-ity (Dusty pink shifts to fuchsia), Modify Me ( Periwinkle blue shifts to indigo blue), Altered Reality (Teal blue shifts to turquoise) Metallic Metamorphosis (Silvery grey shifts to bluish-charcoal grey)  and Shape Shifter (Smokey violet shifts to dark purple).

I have read some reviews where they say that the formula is not too good and it is quite streaky. But in the end the concept is just so interesting and for that alone I want to give this a go! BTW the strip that you can see on the cap shows the colors with and without a top coat. I read on Temptalia that these are LE. They retail for about $3.75 (approx Rs. 223/-) in the US. I spotted this on the BeautyKafe site for Rs. 570/- which is pricey but I have ordered one to try out.
