I got stars in my eyes,
and the whole world rose up to meet me,
with the vision like a child.
Yeah I got stars in my eyes,
and the whole world was spinning slowly,
‘cause they can’t keep up with me, me and my mind.

I cant help but stare at the gorgeous shade that is Starry Nights! How apt is the name. A gorgeous grayish black shade with tiny silver glitter. A nice gritty texture which does not feel abrasive to the touch so like the famous OPI sands. And you get the same beauty and unbeatable quality (heck it stayed on my nails for 5 days without fraying and that is saying something for a glitter paint) for such an affordable price tag of 125 bucks. I saw so many bloggers pairing it with Dazzling Diva and All That Glitters. I knew that I had to add a touch of red to it the moment I laid eyes on it. But I didn’t want to go for Red Carpet for some reason.

Well I came up with this pairing – Velvet Wine base topped off with stripes of Dazzling Diva. I have gotten quite hooked to my stripping tape and now pull them out for all the designs I think of. Does that happen to you? Getting stuck on something or idea and not being able to think beyond it for a while? Its like getting trapped into a box 😛 But any-hoo, the picture I had in mind of the end result was different than how it turned out. Something about it seems off to me don’t know why. The combination of the red and silver seems very Christmas-y to me and then the surrounding black seems contrary to it….

Now that I think on it if I had done the lines differently say diagonals or something maybe it would have filled in the gap that I’m feeling with this look. I don’t know 🙁 maybe I’m second guessing myself too much. What do you guys think? Is it looking nice like this or do I need to tweak it somehow…or scratch the whole damn thing *humph* Creative blocks suck 😛 Well I will rack my brains to come up with something catching for the next time. See you people soon!
