There have been a slew of comebacks back to back this week in the world of Kpop! After History came out with their track, which inspired the last look, this time around its VIXX with their track Dynamite that inspired me to create this edgy graphic look. Comebacks in Kpop world is basically when an artist releases a new album and “comes back” to the music scene. I find that this term is used mainly in the Kpop industry. Anyways that was just a little FYI for you 🙂 So the bright colors and graphic prints present in the video inspired this look. I paired it with the bold lip coz once I created this ombre lip I couldn’t ignore it. Usually I would have gone for the pale lips with dramatic eyes thing but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it here…

I love how this look turned out almost to the point of being obsessed with it! BTW if you are wondering why I have one of my eyes covered you just need to see some promo pics of their new album Zelos and you will get your answer. The lens added to the drama but it looked quite nice even on my brown eyes. Normally I dont play with this shade palette especially on my eyes but I like the end result. On the lips I applied the Raisin lip pencil from Sleek first ie I lined my lips with it and then filled the outer corners leaving a blank area on the middle part on both the top and bottom. I then went over the entire thing with Lime Crime Red Velvet and then darkened the edges again with Sugar Cosmetics Big Bang Berry. I think that it looks interesting. So what do you think about it? Leaving the link of the song below so do let me know if you feel like I was able to capture it somehow. See you soon!

Queen by History (Kpop) Inspired Glamorous Makeup LookÂ
Hello my doves. I’m so excited as I pen this down…I combined two of my favorite things ie Kpop and dramatic makeup! Well this was sort of inevitable for me coz my love for this genre of music increases day by day. And since I cant dance for the life of me anymore to make dance covers of some of my favorite music videos I landed upon this form of expression 😀 Recently a boy band called History released a track called Queen which I find absolutely banging! The chorus, the dance moves and the super cute men all decked out in their suits left me in complete awe. And you know what that means…I was obsessed with the song and had it on repeat! While listening to the track it put me in the “mood” and the end result was this look that you see…

It has been ages since I did an Inspired look. Though it has technically no connection with the song involved it basically has been created from my “feels” for the song. Hey inspiration can strike in any shape manner or form anytime and anywhere. Let me know what you think about this look and if you would like to see more inspired looks in the future. Meanwhile check out the other ones I created basically when I started blogging eons ago 🙂 And Im leaving a link to the song so that you can enjoy it too. Do let me know if I was able to capture it in some manner. Any thoughts and suggestions will be much appreciated. See ya soon!
Halloween 2015 Makeup Look – Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
Ola! Another year…another Halloween look. This year just whizzed by super fast! Cant believe its November already. Ah well…this year I wanted to do a full face look as opposed to the half masks I have been doing so far. Plus I wanted to break away from the pretty and do something a little more grungy. I actually created the whole look just around the lens I’m wearing 😀 They are called Innocent White and are from Desio Lens. Ooo I so love their lens…this is my second pair from them. They give you full coverage yet look so natural. Well this doesn’t on me but on really fair skinned people this looks super gorgeous! To celebrate the duality of everyone’s nature aka the grayness I played with the iconic “wolf in sheep’s clothing” concept. Well I think I’m more of a wolf than a sheep any day 😉 Hope you guys like the look –

Doing the sheep was the most difficult for me. I needed it to be cute-ish and not look gimmicky. But the wolf part takes away all the attention 🙂 I wanted to add a zip to my face to add to the rawness of the look but for the life of me I couldn’t make a regular one stick to my face 😛 I went through a lot of trial and error to get the finished look. Do let me know what you guys thought about it. I know it is a bit late to be posting about my Halloween look but better late than never. I will be seeing you guys around…Astalavista!
Hello mon ami! I’m back with another Halloween look for you. I hope to make this a tradition of sorts for my blog. When creating this look it struck me how odd it is that I’m so excited to do a Halloween look (something that we don’t celebrate/observe/have here) and I don’t end up doing anything for Diwali 😛 Well the latter is usually quite stressing for me with all the shopping and prep and decor that goes into it. I throw something on the last minute for the puja time rather than planning an outfit way ahead. But the former occasion excites me to no end. I can let my creative juices flow and come up with something unusual and challenging for me. Just the scope of what I can do for it is just so stimulating! Well I made this half mask and it took me a couple of tries to just get the wings right…the details sort of fell in place with each trial.
Sorry for overloading you with the pics but I really liked how it turned out. Usually when I draw, it ends up looking very kiddish and amateur but I like how I was able to get the nuances of the design right especially the details of the wing. My previous effort had them looking like leaves that a 1st grader would make 😀 And knowing me…they just had to be jeweled right? I mean come on! I ain’t do nothing without my bling 😉 So what do you guys think of my effort? Is it something that you would like to wear or does it not cut it for you? As always, waiting to hear your suggestions on it. Catch you soon!
In the midst of the whirling day, In the hectic rush to be doing, In the frantic pace of life, Pause here for a moment.
Catch your breath; Relax your body;
Loosen your grip on life.
Consider that our lives are always unfinished business;
Imagine that the picture of our being is never complete;
Allow your life to be a work in progress.
Do not hurry to mold the masterpiece;
Do not rush to finish the picture;
Do not be impatient to complete the drawing.
From beckoning birth to dawning death we are in process,
And always there is more to be done.
Do not let the incompleteness weigh on your spirit-
Do not despair that imperfection marks your every day;
Do not fear that we are still in the making.
Let us instead be grateful that the world is still to be created;
Let us give thanks that we can be more than we are;
Let us celebrate the power of the incomplete;
For life is always unfinished business.

I really wanted to create a look for Halloween. I had a rough idea of a doll in mind but this look kind of took shape as I went on applying the makeup. It is said that ghosts exist coz they have some unfinished business that they need to do. Once they complete this task then only can their soul rest in peace. This thought came to mind while creating this look of something being unfinished….hence I decided to give a rough incomplete edge to it. The sadness that this doll is feeling as she is incomplete and lacks an identity. I don’t know if I have been able to express myself and my thoughts behind this but I hope you like the look. Waiting to hear back from you 🙂

I love the color combination in this pic. It is so rich and eye catching. I really wanted to try and copy this in a creative eye look as I felt it would be prefect. I came up with multiple looks to do justice to this. This is the interpretation that I liked the best. I hope you guys like it and leave some comments/suggestions for it. Until next time – take care!
    Im trying my hand on some creative eye makeup series. I had a long love affair with Barbie dolls when I was younger. I had to get my hands on new dolls, home sets, clothes, etc. I still have them stored somewhere. Lol I remember being in constant competition with my cousin each trying to top the other. Ah! the good old days :).
   Well I have used the above shown doll to come up with a look. Would appreciate your feed back on it. If you want a tutorial on it then do let me know.
