How do you like your mascara to be? Should it give you volume or length or both? Should it curl the lashes or define them? Water proof or resistant? For me a mascara should do all the above and on top of it should give me some amount of drama. My eyes should get a defined look and not look natural. About 3 inches in length, this cylindrical tube bulges in the middle slightly. Deep purple/plum in color with accents in pink and silver. I really like the brush that comes with it. It is quite dense and fluffy almost. The tip is thicker than the rest. It makes the application quite easy and you can easily work your way and coat a bunch of lashes at once. I use the tip to cover the outer most lashes and the bottom ones.
The mascara feels almost gel like in its consistency. It coats the lashes and makes them thicker but going over the wet lashes too many times with the brush tends to clump them. It is not water proof nor resistant. I actually like them that way coz the other formulas irritate my eye and turn them red. But I don’t get that feeling with this. For some strange reason my eyes feel cooler (temperature wise and not the “yo bro” kind 😛 ) when I put it on.
This is a jet black mascara. And I love the effect it gives me. Adds a decent amount of volume and thickness to my lashes. I actually like to pair it with another favorite of mine to create the ultimate drama. I don’t like mascaras that don’t do anything to the lashes and give them a natural look. Feels like the entire purpose of wearing a mascara is defeated. For the kind of definition that I like I first layer Loreal One Million and then once that is dry I top off with this. It lasts all day on me ie till it does not get wet. And I’m not in the habit of rubbing my eyes but I figure that it will smudge somewhat. Not qualities one will want in a mascara but hey if you have sensitive eyes like me then this is a good bet.
I love this mascara and the effect it gives me. The cherry on top is the feeling of comfort I have with this on. I’m sorry but I don’t know the exact price for it. I think it is in the 600-800 range. In a rush to try it I peeled the outer plastic covering which had the price on it and later when I checked the bill that just had a bunch of product code on it. The counter is very far from my place and when I do go there I end up forgetting to ask the price 😛 I found a couple of good products in this brand and a lot of them were quite decently priced. I remember I got a blush for 250 bucks only. And it was good. It makes me so happy to discover a new brand and talk about something unique 🙂 Hopefully I will catch up with all the backlog I have created and will introduce other such lovely pieces from the brand. BTW there are 3 colors available in it – black, brown and blue. Catch you guys soon!
