Shikha Says:

I know I’m really late with this post but I was insanely busy during October. Since it is better to be late than never I decided to post this article for the benefit of my readers. October box was a pleasant surprise for me as they sent over a product from Lush. The inclusion of another makeup product had me stoked. So lets just dive into these beauties.

Lush Sugar Body Scrub (Rs. 350/- for 100gms):

The first thing that hit me when I opened the box was this amazing smell. Very strong citrusy lavender one. It was so fresh and oddly soothing at the same time. They have provided the full sized product which is straight up 350 bucks. The texture is granulated and though I have not tried it yet I’m actually worried that it might just break when used in the shower. Since I have a body scrub that I’m using I will be stacking this to be used later on. So needless to say you all would have to wait for that review.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules Intensive Treatment (Rs. 3900/- for 60 capsules):

This product has been around for ages. I remember many years back both my mom and elder sis using it. They really liked it back then and my sis was hooked to it. Seeing it in the box gave me a sense of deja vu…I got a sample of 5 capsules. Ok I read some other people’s reviews about how 5 capsules were too less but I seriously beg to differ. I can easily use 1 capsule 2 times easily if not thrice.

You just have to apply a thin layer on your skin and not keep going over it. It is a serum not a moisturizer. I just used this once and felt it was a little rich for my skin. I’m waiting for winters to set in properly in Kolkata then I will go ahead and test em out. So this goes on the back burner as well ladies (sorry).

Clinique Pink Blush (Rs. 1550/-) and Rosewine Eyeshadow Duo (Rs. 1250/-):

Makeup……YEA!! Clinique……AGAIN!?! Boooooooo……This is the 3rd time I got a product from this brand and frankly they have been more of a miss than a hit for me ie in the makeup line. The blush is a very pretty. A nice light pink color which gives a sheer flush to my cheeks and looks quite natural. The brush provided in the sample is decent. Personally I would not pay 1600 bucks for it. I would rather get something from MAC or spend a little more and get Dior.

The eyeshdows were a complete bust for me. One is a really light almost whitish pink and the other is a light reddish brown. The pink color has a sheen to it and the brown has a very subtle shimmer. The pigmentation is too light and when you put it on the lids you cant really make out the colors. The texture is good and smooth and they are easy to apply. The duo is decently priced but these particular colors I did not like. I would try out some other shades from the brand though.

That was it for the October Ed. I have already put up my reviews for the November box. Eagerly awaiting the December one. Keep it Divalicious ladies….Ciao!
