Shikha Says:
Can I just start by saying how much I love these guys…The anticipation is so high waiting for a new box each month and these guys don’t disappoint. They promised you luxury and they deliver on all counts. I have signed up for 6 months – I’m so into them. November box contains brands like Kerastase (my personal favorite brand), Clinique and Clarins.

I got a Kerastase Biotic Micro Peel Exfoliating Shampoo 20ml tube. I tried it out and I must say I do like it. My scalp becomes flaky during the cold season and I usually get it after a day or so of shampooing my hair. But after using it even on the 3rd day I did not see any flakes. I used it in the second wash and found a slight tingling sensation on application. I left it in my scalp for a few mins for it to work. Now the full set of this product is a packing of 15 tubes which costs a whooping Rs. 9,900/-. Having said that and being a user of Kerastase products for over 3 years let me just tell you that they really work and are worth the price tag. But the right way to go about it is to get a consultation from the Keratase consultant and after analyzing your scalp they will recommend you the perfect regime. My guess is that this particular product would be for people with an intense problem (whatever the product is actually meant for) and hence that is why the treatment set contains so many tubes and costs so high.

I have been getting a makeup product each month and I’m totally loving it. My only beef with it is that they are giving it from the same brand each month – Clinique. This time it was a lipstick. There are some hits and misses with it. For example, I did not like the mascara that I got the first time around. It was very subtle for my taste and didn’t look like I had anything on. I prefer a little drama and pop when it comes to mascara otherwise what is the point of using the product if your lashes look similar without it. My October box contained eyeshadow and blush compact (post coming in later). Loved the blush but not the shadows.

I got Clinique Different Lipstick in the shade Pink Spice. The texture is very smooth and is moisturizing. The color is a brown tone pink with a light sheen to it. Perfect for day wear. Personally I think the shade will be flattering on most Indian skin tones. The sample size is quite decent and seems only a little smaller than a full size version. There is no weight mentioned on the packing and since I have never bought a lipstick from this brand before I cant really comment on the size in a precise manner. Price for full size is Rs. 1300/-.

The last in the bunch is Clarins Hydraquench Intensive serum. This one I have not tried out yet and have not used any product from this brand as such except for a makeup remover. But I know that Kareena buys a lot of products from it. I will put up a review for it later on. The sample bottle contained a pump which dispenses a light blue liquid with a mild fragrance. Size of the sample is 15ml whereas the full sized product is 30ml and costs Rs. 3,100/-.

So thats it for the November edition. Watch this space for more reviews on the upcoming boxes. And oh yes the October box is due as well. How did you find the mix? Intrigued enough to get your own box. Would love to hear from you guys. Take care. Ciao!
