I came across this interesting product line in the exhibition. The European gentleman present in the counter was very sweet and informative. I did not know at the time that he was the CEO and founder of the company, Mr Christophe Fouilleron. He and three of his friends got together to bring in the natural benefits offered by their homeland, Corsica, to the world. Realizing that they were sitting on untapped potential offered by the rich natural resources they got together to form this line of bio cosmetics. 

 

     Hailing from the domain Solyvia, he told me that the Imortelle flower being used by L’occitane and profited on immensely by them hails from the region he comes from. His company also makes use of this flower in producing their products. They have these numerous aromatherapy based roll-ons which are targeted at specific conditions. The base line consists of 5 such roll-ons – BugSafe (anti-insect soothing shield), Cut ‘n’ Bump (bulwark against wounds), Take it Easy! (key to relaxation), Head ‘Ake (magic portion against discomfort of headaches) and SkinTune (protection of the epidermis). All these have been based on a dry oil formulation which enables easy absorption into the skin.

 

     These roll-ons have been grouped and made into box sets as well like the CityBox (a healthy mind in a healthy body) which contains Take it Easy, Head ‘Ake and SkinTune or the WeekBox (especially designed for outdoor weekends) which contains BugSafe, Head ‘Ake and Cut ‘n’ Bump. Not only this they have come out with a special beauty box which contains 3 newly launched beauty serum roll-ons and special travel/jet lag related box.

 

     They have won Beauty Challenger Award Emerging Brands 2011 and have been featured in various international magazines like Grazia, Elle, etc. I really wanted to try something from them and asked the gentleman what I could purchase from him. He told me that since the only pieces he had were up on display I needed to ask him on the last day so that he could help me out. But then he searched through his stuff and gave me a full sized bottle of the SkinTune to try out. It was perfect as that was the one I meant to purchase. So sweet and generous of him 🙂

     So be on the look out for my review of the SkinTune roll-on from them. I must say I’m looking forward to their presence in our country.
