Shikha Says:

Hello my lovelies! Today I bring to you a BB cream from the house of Sleek Makeup. My previous experience with the Maybelline BB cream has been highly unsatisfactory  I really want to understand what the hoopla is all about. I decided to foray out and try the one from Sleek.

“This multi-tasking wonder balm can be used as a primer, tinted moisturiser or concealer. Build to provide medium to full coverage. Loaded with skin loving multi-vitamins, anti ageing properties and protein peptides that revitalises and nourishes and aids in skin repair. Vitamin C adds an extra boost to the skin for a healthy, glowing complexion, whilst the presence of Vitamin E protects the skin from early stages of UV damage, leaving skin youthful and luminous. Skin stays protected with SPF15, whilst jojoba oil soothes and moisturises for a flawless finish. Available in 4 shades to suit all skin tones.”

Like all other Sleek products this too comes in a “sleek” black packing. The tube is about 4 inches in size with cap and contains 50 ml of product. It comes with a flip top cover which makes the dispensing of product easier. It costs $11.49 (Rs. 633/- approx).

Ok now coming to the product itself. It is quite thick in consistency and I have no doubt that it can provide medium to full coverage. Having said that I didn’t find it moisturizing at all. For a product claiming that it can be used as a tinted moisturizer I expected it to be better.

The above dot spread out

Yes if you see the swatch in the pic you will see it provide a sheen to the skin but if you look in the mirror this is missing. The shade was all wrong for me. Honestly I don’t know what possessed me to buy this particular shade. It is too dark for my complexion. When I applied it on it sort of emphasized the dry patch that I was having on my cheek. I don’t know if it is due to the deeper shade but still I personally don’t feel that it should do that especially cause it is supposed to be moisturizing.

Above pic patch blended further

I remember reading somewhere that a BB cream oxidizes on the skin after application and is supposed to turn darker. I found the reverse to be true for this one. The shade actually became a little lighter after couple of minutes of application. So do keep that in mind if you want to try this one out. For me I would not try to lay my hands on the lighter shade of it.

All in all the search is still on to discover the craze behind these creams. So until next time my precious. See ya! Be safe!

Would you purchase it again? – No. Does not have any redeeming qualities in my opinion.

Would you recommend it to your friend? – No. Cheaper versions are available in our country so I don’t see the point. Plus it did not live up to its claim.
