Sephora Pomegranate Mask

Ok I will start with a slightly sour note 🙁 It is so not fair that Sephora India opened a 2nd store in Delhi itself and did not branch out to another city instead…I mean really not even in Mumbai?!? What are the chances of us Kolkata girls seeing any action then? In the year 2500?!? Boo!!! Ok I had to get that rant off my chest 😛 As you may know I picked up a couple of pieces from Sephora Singapore. I really wanted to get some of their newly launched nail paints but that particular store was not carrying any and I was really not keen on picking anything from their makeup range simply coz I had a lot of stuff in my basket already from the other brands. They had this huge kiosk filled with different types of mask sheets and this was one of my choices. So let’s take a quick look to see how it performed.

What Sephora Says About It

The Product

Sephora Pomegranate Mask

Usually mask sheets come packed in the rectangle like packing but this one was in a semicircular pack with the outer packing being circular. I was actually afraid I would end up tearing up the mask sheet inside while tearing the cover as it was so tightly packed in. After some careful maneuvering, I was able to get it out in one piece 🙂 It had a light berry smell to it which faded out fast. There was a lot of serum in the pouch. I covered both my hands till above my elbows, neck, feet and half of my legs! It got absorbed into the skin quickly and was not sticky on drying.

My Experience

Sephora Pomegranate Mask

I left it on for over 20 mins and when I took it off my face did feel smooth. Usually most masks look like that immediately after taking them off. There was a slight glow to my skin and it was looking refreshed. The pores did look a little smaller than usual. Like I said, typical text book behavior. The real test happens the next day…

Sephora Pomegranate Mask

There are 10 varieties available and I discovered that these are exclusive to Sephora Singapore and have been formulated especially for Asian skin. You get them in a set of 5 sheets too but I picked one to try it out. Overall I didn’t find the end result anything to write home about. If you have read my earlier reviews you will know that I judge the effectiveness of a mask by seeing my skin 24 hours after application. And it seemed the same to me as before applying the mask. Maybe it is not fair to judge it in one use but I feel that it should show you something atleast so that it warrants another use. But it didn’t do anything for me.  I paid SGD 4.00 for it which is roughly Rs. 200/- for one sheet.

Though the price is decent but they promise you affordable and effective skincare which they don’t deliver on completely. Atleast I didn’t feel so given my skin and the respective results. I do have another variant in it too and am hoping that works a tad better than this one. Overall I am disappointed with it especially since I have been trying out so many of these sheet masks ever since I started subscribing to Glamabox regularly. And I guess I had high hopes out of this brand and that is why my feeling of being let down in so pronounced 🙁 Anyways…I hope you found this review useful. And do let me know if you have tried something from their skincare range and how you felt about it. I would love to try out other products from the brand. See you soon – Bye!
