The only thing I ask my hairdresser for when I sit in the chair is to ensure that my hair has a lot of movement and body to it…rest its up to to them what they want to do with it. I have fine thinning hair and I need that extra volume to make do. If your hair has “movement” to it ie it flows and falls in a particular way then it looks fuller and prettier some how, if that makes sense. I really dont like it when my hair just falls flat and straight as if someone pasted it together or it became a lump…where is the character in that? I generally avoid using voluminizing products as they have a tendency to dry out hair, that’s how usually they create volume…since I have dry hair that is the last thing I need. Recently Schwarzkopf launched the Reversilane range which promises to repair damaged hair while adding strength and elasticity to it while bringing back natural hair movement. Does it deliver? Let’s find out…

I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for over a month now. Let me start off by saying that I love how all the products smell. They have a rich woody smell to them which might be amber I think…kinda on the strong side but I like it. The shampoo is quite thin in consistency and so is the conditioner though not as thin as the former. I use the shampoo as a “treatment” and by that I mean that I wash out the grime from my hair with another shampoo and then apply this leaving it in for a few minutes. This helps the formula to work on the scalp…I follow this with the conditioner. I will say that the conditioner is on the milder side than what my hair needs ie it does not make my hair super soft rather leaves it in between aka ‘normal’. If you have oily to normal hair then this will work better for your hair type. The range comes in a signature white plastic bottle with red cap which in the the case of these two has a flip top to it.

Overall I did notice a difference in my hair rather I should say people around me noticed it and pointed it out. My hair looked fuller and had more volume to it in spite of not having a haircut for more than 2 months it still had that flow and movement that I look for. Usually when your hair grows out the cut looses its look which in my case is this illusion of body and fall but this shampoo conditioner combo helped me maintain that. I have not tried the mask yet but I hope it will help to address my softness/moisture needs which would make this range an absolute ideal for me. The shampoo is priced at Rs. 750/- for 250 ml and the conditioner is for Rs. 750/- for 200 ml. Since I end up using very little of the two given my method of usage these products will last me for a good 4-5 months I think (well at least the shampoo will). In the end I would say that the brand delivers on what it promises. I would say that just the shampoo and conditioner are ideal for oily to normal hair. Have you tried this range yet? Are you willing to try it out? What is your favorite Schwarzkopf product? Waiting to hear from you….See ya around 🙂
