I realized I was so lacking in products from certain brands. To even things out I bought certain items from the brands that are easily available and decently affordable for most. In this run I came across this palette from Revlon and since it had been ages since I had a Revlon eyeshadow I went ahead and got it. I was quite attracted to the fact that it had metallic colors and the green one in it just drew me in. Plus I got 5 shadows for Rs. 660/- (5.67 gms of product in total) which I thought was quite a good deal.
A slim rectangle box made of black plastic with a transparent lid. There is no mirror in it and comes with a so-so applicator. Like I mentioned before there are five shades in it – Greyish black, Copper, Gold, Goldenish Green and Light Grey. All the colors have shimmer in it and their texture is smooth. The colors are not very pigmented. Copper one has the most pigmentation in a hand swatch followed by the green then black, gold and grey (in descending order). Their level can be built up but there is something left to be desired.
On the eye they go even softer and somehow I was not able to get them to a good enough level ie you could not make out that I had all 5 shades on. And I wore them over NYX eyeshadow base in skin color. I did not try to wear them wet but I’m sure that will give you a much better color payoff. What I really liked about this was the set of instructions or rather a diagram if you will that they have provided at the back of the product. When I saw the diagram I was left wondering how that method of application would work or look. But when I tried it out I really liked the finished result.

By the way the green in this palette can be a close dupe for MAC Humid. It is just a tad darker than Humid. So for the divas on a budget this could be a product that you could look into. Honestly I personally would not turn to it coz I would prefer to import Coastal Scents or even Makeup Geek to fulfill my “budget” needs. But that is just me.
