Hello my chicas! Well the new year is finally here and thank god for it!!! Hopefully its not a repeat or for that matter anywhere near the hot mess last year was…ok not gonna stretch that any longer coz Im sure you are over it already. Bringing in the new year with a product empties post…good place to start as any 🙂 I have really focused on using up products that I have stocked up and or ignored. Found some really nice things that I wanted to share with you. I usually post a quick story on Instagram instead of doing a post here when I first get my hands on something as well as first impressions of it. So do check me out there if you haven’t already…there is a lot more content present. Doing a very quick and basic coverage of the products I have finished. Would love your feedback if it is enough or you need more deets about something. Well let’s just jump in as I have quite a nice mix of stuff going here…

Sephora Rose Hair Sleeping Mask
Sephora Rose Hair Sleeping Mask – There are 2 variants available in this – Shea and Rose. I picked this from Malaysia but they are available out here as well. I chose the Rose version coz hey when it comes to me that is a no brainier 😀 Jokes apart I thought I would opt for a lighter option as by then my hair was not colored and I really love the floral scent. Sadly by the time I ended up using this I had colored my hair so it was a bit of a mess. The product is divided into two parts – the conditioner/serum and the hair/shower cap. When I first saw the amount of conditioner given I thought that I could get at least two uses out of it if not three. But the instructions ask you to apply the product on dry hair and due to that, plus my hair condition, I ended up using the entire thing in one go. I left it in for the entire night which is given since it is a sleeping mask 😀 They said that you can either rinse out the product the next day or wash it out. I chose the later since my hair was greasy. Well long story short it didn’t do anything for my dry frizzy hair 🙁 I still had to apply a serum once I was done with the entire thing just to make my hair look manageable. I will try out the Shea version from them and this time I will just rinse it out with water to see if that makes a difference. Well if you have dry damaged hair then I do not recommend this mask.
Bifesta Makeup Cleansing Wipes
Bifesta Makeup Cleansing Wipes – I always keep wipes handy for a quick cleanup! Whether they are touted especially for makeup removal or just good ole baby wipes (fear not no babies were harmed during the making of these nor are you being asked to use one that is has been anywhere near a baby’s bum). The indignation some people express when I mention baby wipes is seriously comical 😛 But back to the topic…I have a detailed review for these on my blog which can check out here. I quite like these though they are not a 100% effective in taking out some of the mascaras I use. But for pretty much anything else these are quite good. Some products that tend to stain the skin I use a second cleansing product to get off but these were my go-to while they lasted. Another product that I picked on my Malaysia trip. This brand is easily available in SE Asia. I will be checking out other products from them on my next trip. I do recommend this product.
Avene Micellar Lotion
Avene Micellar Lotion – Ok before I get into the product let me start by saying that I was not into the whole micellar water thing. I dont know why but as a product it didn’t appeal to me for some reason. Between all the wipes and cleansing oils I had it seemed kinda pointless to get one. So I didn’t actually buy this…I found a really good deal in the form of two 300 ml Avene Thermal Spring Water sprays set which included this as a bonus product. Another thing I picked from Malaysia…that place is shopping heaven! So I actually didn’t use it for quite sometime…but once I used this I was hooked!!! No it does not clean the really tough mascaras completely but it does thoroughly make the skin squeaky clean. There was a point where I was using this in place of my face wash…not recommended but whatever. Heck I have used this after washing my face and it still pulled impurities out. I really really like this one and would absolutely repurchase it! There have been other micellar products from different brands that I tried after this but sadly they don’t perform like this does. Do try it out. Highly recommended!
Wow Life Science Biotin
Wow Life Science Biotin – I had not heard about this brand previously but I picked an item or two from it once it popped on my Amazon feed. This is a 60 capsule bottle which cost me Rs. 899/- Honestly I think the price is kinda steep but I do like it. I was having a lot less hairfall when I was on it and my hair grew at a very good rate. Let me just say that I have terrible growth rate. And for me to grow about an inch in a months time is nothing short of a miracle. So I do recommend this and I will be purchasing another one soon enough. This bottle lasted me a month.
Sadabahar Zarari Hair Oil
Sadabahar Zarari Hair Oil – First let me just say that this oil didn’t do anything for me. It is supposed to work on hair fall and regrowth. I would use 2-3 times a week, leave it overnight and wash in the morning. I was having a lot of hairfall before using this and nothing changed during its course. Neither did I see any effect on the condition of my hair. Ok having said that Im kinda glad in a way that it didnt do anything for me otherwise I would have had to relive the horror that was buying from this seller. I came across this brand on Instagram. I kinda stalked their profile for sometime before I decided to make a purchase. Though I found somethings fishy about it like how they kept using the same promotion material again and again as well as how they even repeated the same one or two customer testimonials I still decided to try them out. So I spoke to them first on Instagram and then on Whatsapp to decide which of their oils to buy. They wanted me to buy their hair kit which was almost 7-9k and where pushing that on me. I stood firm and said that first I need to try out and see if the product works for me and if it did I didn’t mind investing in a kit. So I picked this oil which i think is 100 – 150 ml for little cost sorry dont remember the exact price for it. I picked another product which was for 1200/- and in total I paid 1800/- for both the products plus shipping. I made the payment through Paytm and sent them the screenshot. Once I did that they went silent on me. The person on whatsapp stopped seeing my messages, the insta profile stopped replying…complete radio silence! I would message a few times in a day just to get them to first acknowledge the fact that payment was received, which they did after few days, and then to give me a tracking code of sorts rather proof of shipping. I had to actually comment on their posts in insta warning other people off them to even get a reply from them. Honestly it was a pain and a half so not worth the amount I paid. Imagine the person who got suckered into buying a kit. And you know what there were a few. I saw some people commenting along with me asking for their products. Stay far far away from them please. And always do your due diligence when picking a seller. Not recommended at all!
AloEx Hair Regrowth Serum
AloEx Hair Regrowth Serum – I picked this from Bangkok…this was literally everywhere I turned….at the convenience store, at a beauty shop and even at Sephora. I kept ignoring it coz I didn’t want to spend 2k plus on it. But I saw it marked down at Sephora and finally caved. This was also voted as a product of the year by some beauty award agency of SE Asia. What caught my attention was the “regrowth” part. Apart from that the product claims that it tackles issues like hair loss, grey hair, dandruff and itchy scalp. In all fairness they do say that one would need to use more than one bottle to see the proper effect of it which is valid. But I do think that minus the regrowth aspect some effect of it should be seen…I dont have dandruff presently so that is out of the picture. But hair loss and grays I do have and again being fair and putting the gray to the side I didn’t see any change in the hair fall. To put a long story short it didn’t do squat for me…even enough to consider investing in a second bottle. I think I paid around 1.8k for it in the end. Not recommended.

The Body Shop White Musk Libertine Perfume – I cant stress enough how much I love white musk. It was my go-to fragrance when I was 16…a new city, new experiences, growing up…so many memories are associated with. So much so that sometimes I would get a whiff of my own perfume and it would stop me in my tracks as a particular memory came flooding back…hitting me full in the face! Kinda strange too at times coz for me the me then is so different from the me today that I would feel that they are 2 people in one body at the same time….strange thing to say but I cant really explain it. Anyways that is a story for another time and not a product review 😛 I love this perfume and if you are looking for a feminine and understated sensual fragrance then give this a go. Recommended.

Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation – Ok this one didn’t finish 🙁 It went bad on me and I dont know why. There was plenty of time left for it to expire. But for some strange reason it has started to stink so I need to toss it out. Sad coz I did truly love it. It gave a dewy look which you know I absolutely love. When you are aging you need all the moisture you can get…so ditch that matte foundation and switch to the dewy ones. This is a good place to start. I think I was a little careless with it and that is why this happened. Will try another one in the near future. Recommended.

Halo Beauty Vitamins for Hair, Skin and Nails – Oh my sweet lord! You know sometimes you just want to get down on your knees and praise the lord…or in this case beauty guru Tati 😛 This is definitely one of those products! Ladies this is expensive and a pain to get BUT this is the shizzz…I KID YOU NOT! My sis who carried it for me from US actually got mad at me when she came to know how much I paid for one bottle which was around 3-4k I think. She told me that she bought me other vitamins which were a whole lot cheaper and they both had the same ingredients. I kinda mumbled that no they were different 😛 But oh how wrong she was. My skin has become super dry and it needs a lot of moisture to make it work aka glow. When I was on these I didnt use any skincare at all! And my skin was simply amazing. Not to mention that I really good hair growth as well which like I said is a miracle for me. The biotin course followed by this has made my hair grow 3-4 inches in the least in like 3-4 months which is impossible for me. The only think this work on was my nails rest everything was amazing. I bought another bottle plus the newly launched kiwi version which is for skin only and I will be documenting my journey with the latter so you can see how it is. Trust me you need these in your life. Highly recommended! Oh and the matte bottle is so pretty that I am using it to store my makeup brushes on my table 🙂

Re:cipe Tangle Hand Jam Tangerine – This product come from a Memebox…ah what memories 😀 I found this very unique as a concept. Essentially it is a hand gel. But it smells great, gets absorbed well aka sans stickiness and leaves the hand soft. This was my go to while it lasted though there were times where I needed to apply a second “coat” of sorts to make it work. But still I liked it. This is a Korean brand and it does very interesting stuff. Do check them out. Try it out.
Well I have a lot of product empties that I need to talk about but I’m leaving this here for now. I could probably do a part of this post which covers the rest. 2018 was all about using the stuff I have diligently instead of just acquiring stuff and posing it 😛 So more than detailed product review posts you might more of these product empties one this year where I put a product through its paces.
