March Product Empties

Hello chicas! It is one of those times where I gleefully type out a post feeling oh so proud of myself! Usually when I review something it is with a sense of deep guilt at the money I put in it rather than something fruitful like travel. Especially fresh of a trip the guilt is more vivid for me…but right now I’m pleased as a button as I find my “balance” ๐Ÿ˜› Yes I know I will cut my BS…humph! Anyhoo I’m not joking about the satisfaction part. Again a fine mix of products for you from skin to hair care with some makeup and perfume thrown in. Some of these are on my repurchase list heck I have repurchased already and some I dont want to see ever again! So lets take a look shall we…

Moi Lavish Hair Oil

Moi Lavish Hair Oil
Moi Lavish Hair Oil

I just recently reviewed this hair oil and you can read the detailed review for it here. I finally finished it and it took me about 6 months to go through it which is pretty decent (I used it once a week). I will repurchase this but right now I’m taking a break from it as I want to finish off the oils I have in stock with me. Once I’m done with those I will go back to this…it helped me with my dandruff and hairfall that too in a short period of time. I will recommend that you try this one out.

Sephora Lotus Mask

Sephora Lotus Mask
Sephora Lotus Mask

I had picked this from Sephora Singapore where they had just been introduced for the first time. Out of the 2 I picked this was the one I liked as it worked for my skin. My skin looked fresh and well hydrated even 24 hours after use. They have a huge range available in this and now I can spot it everywhere. I will try out something else from this range as I did like the result of this though the pomegranate one did nothing for me. This particular one I would recommend to you.

Gia Bath & Body Works Shea Body Butter

Gia Bath & Body Works Shea Body Butter
Gia Bath & Body Works Shea Body Butter

I got a sample of these in one of the beauty boxes I got from Gia Bath & Body Works. This has a strong floral smell to it. The product is on the thicker side and tends to coat the skin. I have very dry skin and this did give me some relief but I felt that it acted as a layer on it rather than soaking into it. The plus side to it is that it remained on for longer thus I didn’t feel the need to reach out for it multiple times. However I had to reapply it after every wash. I do have some more cream samples from the company. Right now I would say that it is not something that I would purchase.

Forest Essentials Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm

Forest Essentials Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm
Forest Essentials Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm

I got this full sized product in one of the beauty boxes sometime back and I finally found it again among all my stuff. I love the smell and texture of it. But I had to keeping applying it over and over again (super dry lips ๐Ÿ™ ) through the day. I’m actually surprised how quickly it got over…but then I was layering it zealously…this would have been my favorite had I not discovered the VLCC one just shortly after. But it did help me out a lot and right now honestly Im on the fence if I will purchase it again. If you don’t have super dry lips like me then I would recommend that you give it a go. If you have a similar problem like me then try the VLCC one coz you wont have to reach for it numerous times over the day.

China Glaze Green Apple Non Acetone Polish Remover

China Glaze Green Apple Non Acetone Polish Remover
China Glaze Green Apple Non Acetone Polish Remover

Bought this from an Indian site called Beautykafe a few years back. I think it set me back almost 700 to 1k which is too much to pay for polish remover I think…but I really wanted to try it out coz of the brand name…oh well. If you want an acetone free remover then this is fairly decent. But if that doesn’t matter to you and if you are like me where you expect to get done with cleaning the polish off lickety split then this might not be for you. Where Lakme does the job for me in a few seconds ie one nail this took almost double the time to get the polish off. The high price tag and its “slowness” are enough factors that would prevent me buying it ever again.

L’Oreal Super Liner in Black Lacquer

Loreal Super Liner in Black Lacquer
Loreal Super Liner in Black Lacquer

This one I’m sad to say dried up while lying neglected among all the pile…sigh! I have done a detailed review for it which you can check out here. I had to go through it again just to remember my feels for it…there have been just so many liners since then that have come and gone so I will say that this wont be something that I will be buying again.

Beyonce Heat Perfume

Beyonce Heat Perfume
Beyonce Heat Perfume

I always had a soft spot for celebrity perfumes and tend to buy them more than designer ones. My sis bought this for me from US. I love the spicy floral smell to it which feels so versatile. Usually spicy scents are too sharp, if you know what I mean, that they seem annoying but this has a very nice blend. Hey how can anything with Beyonce in its name be flawed in any shape manner or form ๐Ÿ˜€ I would put on a spritz or two for day wear and layer it on the pulse points for the evening. I would consider buying this one again.

Etude House Etoinette Crystal Eyeliner Black

Etude House Etoinette Crystal Eyeliner Black
Etude House Etoinette Crystal Eyeliner Black

This was part of a 2 liner set and again ended up drying up too fast. It came out with the Etoinette collection which was beautiful beyond words. There are shimmer particles in this and paired with the silver liner it came with you can create moist doe like eyes which is a big Korean trend. Really loved how it looked. Since this was limited edition cant consider repurchasing it ๐Ÿ™ Maybe they have something similar in the regular line…

The Face Shop New Zealand Volcanic Clay
Blackhead Aloe Nose Strip

The Face Shop New Zealand Volcanic Clay Blackhead Aloe Nose Strip
The Face Shop New Zealand Volcanic Clay Blackhead Aloe Nose Strip

It has been quite a while since I used a pore strip. I realized that I had stopped bothering with such imperfections of the skin…but suddenly everything came to light when I started planning my trip ๐Ÿ˜› Then all your problems start to glare you in your face…well that’s another story for another time. I think the mention of a nose strip brings in painful memories! Cause the ones I used to use caused major pain!!! I was so not looking forward to that aspect…but this was the first time I was trying this brand out. After 15 minutes and a deep breath later I pulled…and it came off like a breeze without any pain…yea!!! This was quite good and cleared all the gunk on the nose in one go. Very happy with the result and will consider getting this again. I think one of the international beauty boxes sent this my way.

Antonio Banderas Blue Seduction for Women Deo

Antonio Banderas Blue Seduction for Women Deo
Antonio Banderas Blue Seduction for Women Deo

This has got to be one of my favorite perfumes ever! I have a detailed review of it in my perfumes collection post which you can check out here. I gave my perfume to my sister coz she liked it so much but I ended up missing it a lot. I thought I will try out the deo version of it. But in the end I would say that investing in the perfume is better as it is more cost effective. The deo set me back 600-800 bucks whereas the perfume is around 1200-1500. Plus the latter lasts longer than the former hence making it the better choice. I will be getting the perfume of it soon…it is so beautifully feminine and perfect for summers. Trust Antonio Banderas to know what a woman would want ๐Ÿ˜‰

L’Oreal Professional Absolut Repair Lipidium

L'Oreal Professional Absolut Repair Lipidium
L’Oreal Professional Absolut Repair Lipidium

This is supposed to be a mask rather than a conditioner but in my experience most masks can be used as a conditioner. What the basic difference is that a conditioner usually works in a shorter span of time roughly about 5 minutes or so to deliver medium to heavy moisture to the hair while a mask takes longer ie about 15-20 minutes to deliver deep conditioning aka moisture to your hair. I found that this product works best when left in longer at least for my dry hair than when I left it in only for 5 mins. Since I dont have the time or patience to leave it in for 15 mins and over every time I wash my hair I will not be investing in this one again. If you use it as a mask its quite good but fails completely as a conditioner ๐Ÿ™

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream
The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream

This is another one of my favorite products! I finally finished this tube and then went on to use the other BB creams I had stocked up on. But I missed this so so much! I had to buy myself another one before I went on my Dubai trip. I love the texture and the finish it gives my skin. You can read my detailed review for it here. This is  perfect for dry to normal skin people. Will always be on my repurchase list ๐Ÿ™‚

Indulekha Bringha Oil

Indulekha Bringha Oil
Indulekha Bringha Oil

I cant even being to tell you how much I had heard about this oil especially the gold version of it. How super amazing it is…etc etc. For some reason they dont make the gold version any more just this one is available and that too I got it after a lot of difficulty. I think I had purchased 2 bottles of it. This is quite steep as one bottle of 100 ml will set you back Rs. 423/-. This was touted as the one stop solution for all your hair problems but frankly it did absolutely nothing for me. I think the 2 bottles lasted me 5-6 months and it made zero difference to the condition of my hair. Not saying that it might not work for you but for me it was a major disappointment especially after all the praises I had heard about it ๐Ÿ™

Evian Facial Spray

Evian Facial Spray
Evian Facial Spray

I have tried a couple of facial mists over time and I could not understand the charm of them. Well I will admit that one of my main ones was the Dabur Rose Water one which apart from the cooling didn’t really do much else for me. Especially after following the Korean beauty trends I would wonder why they would be so hooked to one especially for moisturization. The water based ones that I have used tend to dry my skin further. This is the first time that I actually liked a face mist I think. What I really like is that it does not aggravate my dry skin but leaves my face feeling fresh and comfortable after using this. Truthfully I haven’t noticed any other change solely cause of this. But overall if I want to freshen and cool my skin I just reach for this. On the fence right now if I would consider getting this one again.

Those were a lot of products that I had to cover…phew! Do let me know if you have tried anything from this list and if you had a different experience than mine. Also would you be interested in getting anything from here. Waiting to hear from you….catch you soon!
