Welcome to part 2 of my perfume collection! Presenting some more mini reviews for your enjoyment ๐Ÿ™‚ I will be covering 6 more perfumes in this post. In case you missed it, you can check out part 1 HERE. So without further ado let’s jump straight in!

Etude House Ms Ever

Etude House Ms Ever

Let me just start of by saying…..Cutest Packing EVER!!! Omg! I saw this online and I knew I had to get my hands on it. I love the attention to detail in Etude House products. Approx 2 inches in height it is in the shape of a woman dressed up as a bride. Rather the cap is in the shape of a head and the rest is a white cylinder with details on it.

When you pop the head of you will find a transparent cover on the main product which is a solid perfume. You can twist the base to get more product. It is a nice spicy floral blend which is supposed to represent “Happily Ever After”. Being a stick format it is not very noticeable but rather is more of an intimate experience if you know what I mean. It contains top notes of apple and pear, middle notes of morgan, mangolia, freesia, rose and jasmine and base notes of sandalwood and powdery musk. There are 4 other versions in it. So take your pick

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea

I got this from a friend of mine. Honestly this one has me stumped. Why will anyone want to smell like green tea? really?? I understand the fad behind it and the whole bunch of health benefits and what not…..But to smell like it? Can I please just say – weird….

I love the sleek green colored bottle with the leaf design on it. The first whiff is heavily of green tea (smelt a lot like the Lipton Green Tea you get in bottles) and stays like that for sometime on your skin. But slowly the flowery undertones start to come forward and in the end they fade down to a lovely floral scent. Quite unlike the beginning. The scent didn’t last more than 3-4 hours on me and I preferred the middle and base notes of it. Now if only it didn’t have the top one this would have a very nice perfume for day wear. It is a very personal taste and I don’t find anything romantic or sensual or confident about smelling like “Green Tea” ๐Ÿ˜›

Top Notes: Caraway, Fruity Rhubarb, Lemon, Orange Zest and Bergamot Middle Notes: Cool Minty Peppermint, Green Tea, Sweet Jasmine, Spicy Carnation, Fresh Fennel and Crisp Celery Spice Base Notes: Oakmoss, Musk and Amber

Lady Gaga Fame
Lady Gaga Fame

Can anyone ever except Lady Gaga to do something “regular” or “mundane”? This woman defies everything and creates her own rules! No one can do it like Lady Gaga and she will surprise you each and every time. From the beautiful to the absolute bizarre. So how will her perfume be anything different? I saw the advert for it on youtube and am dazed….If I didn’t already know what it was for would have never been able to guess….Too (could not think of a fitting word here) for words.

I finally got this from StrawberryNet. I love the design of the bottle especially the claw like cap. The color of the liquid is black which is unique in itself. The top note is rich and quite strong. But fades after sometime to a softer and more feminine base note. The entire combination is very different but it is not at par with the image created for it. The manufacturers apparently toned it down so that it is more main stream. But nonetheless it is worth looking into.

“The fragrance has a unique structure called the “push-pull technology,” where the ingredients interact together to highlight different olfactive aspects of each note at the same time, without any hierarchy.

The scent is built around three main accords: dark, sensual and light. The dark accord was inspired by Belladonna, the deadly nightshade possessed by haunted beauties since the 18th century. From this darkness, the fragrance evolves to a sensual accord of opulence, a fusion of dripping honey, saffron and apricot nectar. And lastly, the light accord whispers magnificence. The rich floral layer of crushed Tiger Orchid and Jasmine Sambac embodies timeless beauty.

The accords work together to create a fragrance of floral and fruity elements, with the star ingredient inspired by Belladonna leveling out the whole fragrance and giving Lady Gaga Fame its signature as a scent.” – The Perfume Shop
Etude House Winter Princess Etoinette Perfume

Etude House Winter Princess Etoinette Perfume

This baby is the latest addition to my collection. How can you not get yourself this uber girlie bottle? The main body is draped like a gown and it comes with those vintage perfume pumps (I ALWAYS wanted one!) topped off with some lace that has been attached in manner that makes it look like a butterfly. Honestly I want to squeal like a girl and faint from the cuteness ๐Ÿ˜› But I wont…..restrain girl…..Restrain! Now that girlie-fit of mine is done with lets get on with business….ahem!

The first whiff is sweet with a light dash of spice to it (Sugar & Spice….What are little girls made off? ๐Ÿ˜€ ) I found it to be very unique but a tad too feminine for me. It is a little strange…sometimes I like the top notes but there are times where they don’t sit so well with me. But when the base notes come through is when Im completely loving it. This one is definitely something that I have never smelt before. Will I buy it again? Keeping aside the fact it is limited edition, I don’t think I will. Pretty and quite unique but not my flavor.

Top notes: Pink pepper, Bergamot, Pear, Raspberry, Middle notes: Peony, Rose, Jasmine, Muguet, Bottom notes: Cedar wood, Sandal wood, Musk

Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean Breeze

Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean Breeze

This is such a lovely floral scent with a twist. The mix of fragrances is so clean and fresh that you do feel as if you have been touched by a breeze. Can you picture a day when the wind blows really hard and seems to pass through you. That feeling of upliftment that is left in you when that happens as if some negativity got blown away in that wind…that is how this smells to me. A wonderful enchantment of one’s mood.

I think this is just perfect for day wear. There is a gentleness and delicacy to it. Not the “oh-I-might-faint-at-the-drop-of-a-hat” kinds but more of a gracefulness. I know I’m getting quite poetic with the description but I have it on as I pen down these words and it is just bringing it out of me ๐Ÿ™‚ Beautiful unique piece! As it fades it acquires a slight robustness to it while maintaining its femininity. Ok I’ll stop now ๐Ÿ˜›

“Top notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit (pink), Nectarine, Heart notes: Almond blossom, Jasmine, Violet, Base notes: Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Musk (Skin accord)” – Perfume Clearance Center

Kylie Minogue Showtime

Kylie Minogue Showtime

I’m inexplicably drawn to celebrity fragrances. Some of my most favorites ones belong to this category. It is just another way to experience your favorite or not-so-favorite celeb. It takes you one step closer to their tastes and preference. Some will surprise you and others will disappoint. But they can be quite unique and that is a big drawing factor for me.

These days anybody who is somebody has a perfume out. I don’t know why I was surprised to see one from Kylie Minogue. I know how that sounds like but I actually like her a lot. Let me rephrase….I was pleasantly surprised to see a perfume from her. She has been low key since a long time especially after her battle and subsequent victory over cancer. You cant help but admire her ๐Ÿ™‚

I got a small bottle of the perfume as I bought it online and I wanted to see how it was. The first whiff of it is quite fruity and overtly feminine. As that fades the floral tones come forth. Overall it smells very dated….very old school. It feels overpowering in its femininity and I got a headache after a few sniffs ๐Ÿ˜› So not for me one bit ๐Ÿ™

“Top Notes: Wild strawberry, Loganberry, Blackcurrant, Middle Notes: Roses, Blue freesia, Lilacs, Tiare flowers, Base Notes: Rosewood, White musk, Praline-vanilla accord” – Basenotes

With that the second part of the mini reviews is now concluded. And there is a part 3 coming up soon ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes well….ahem! Moving on….I hoped you guys liked the post and found something that you would like to try out. Guerlain once said “Perfume is the most intense form of memory”. So find your signature scent and leave your mark in the minds of others. See you soon…
