Sephora Dubai Haul

     I honestly had thought that I would not shop for cosmetics at all when I went to Dubai. Though the call of Sephora was strong I didn’t plan on setting foot in there coz I knew I would end up buying things 😛 But like all inevitable things it had to happen for one reason or the other…and I went in…and I was pulled under… 😀 Rather I went there twice, once in the Mall of Emirates outlet and then at the Dubai Mall one. The latter was a tad bigger than the former but I passed by all the US brands and headed straight for the Sephora in-house ones coz I really wanted to see what they had…Right now I’m kicking myself for forgetting to check out the Sephora favorite kits 🙁 But anyhoo let’s take a quick look at what I got…

Sephora The Mascara and Sephora Kohl and Liner

 

     I purposely avoided the US brands coz I knew they would be sold at a premium and I would rather have my sis get something that I really need from US itself. I did fawn over the Kat Von D counter but since I didn’t want to spend big bucks in picking a palette I skipped it over. I knew I had a Tarte package waiting back home and I had gone a “tad” bezerk with it…so I tried keeping things on the down low…I tried… 😛 The first things I noticed where the different kinds of mascaras available…they had a few new launches and with the help of the SA there I picked Sephora The Mascara in Ultra Black which is meant for volume, length and definition (price AED 95 – Rs. 1720/- approx). My sis was getting things for her friend and she stumbled on the Sephora Kohl and Liner in Keep Black (price AED 59 – Rs. 1068/- approx). Well I loved the texture and pigmentation so got one for myself too.

Sephora Jelly Mask Moisturizing & Energizing

     I really wanted to try out some eyeshadows from them and ended up picking two 5 shades palettes coz I loved the shimmer shades in it. I got Sephora Colorful 5 palette in Milk to Dark Chocolate and Sunrise to Sunset Bronze (price AED 119 each – Rs. 2155/-). They come with a very nice and usable brush plus give a really good color payoff. I spotted a lot of new masks in their in-house brand and picked Sephora Jelly Mask Moisturizing & Energizing one (price AED 75 – Rs. 1358/-). There are 6 “cups” inside which have the mask jelly…no sheet here. These spirally cords caught my eye and the SA mentioned that they were quite good as they kept the hair in place and didn’t break hair when you took them off. I was sold so I got a pack which had 3 clear cords in it (price AED 25 – Rs. 453/-) Waddya know…the lady was right! Though the one I am using constantly since I got it has loosened up a bit but it still holds my hair in place properly and does not break them when I pull it off.

Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover and Sephora Nail Lacquer in Faux Fur Jacket

     I really wanted something from the X formula range of nail polishes but they didn’t have anything good that appealed to me. I bought Sephora Nail Lacquer in Faux Fur Jacket to freshen my nails (price AED 25 – Rs. 453/-) and also found this amazing Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover for Glitter (price AED 49 – Rs. 887) which seriously every glitter nails loving babe should have in her arsenal! The scrubber brush inside takes off all the glitter in a matter of seconds! Genius!!! Who would have thought that the answer to all that trouble was scotch brite from the kitchen 😀 😛 Honestly this alone made my day! Well that wraps up my haul from Sephora Dubai. I did manage to squeeze in some more shopping and am thinking of doing another post for it. Let me know if you would be interested in seeing that. Also what did you think of my haul?
