Etude house

Ever since I saw all those gorgeous pictures of an Etude store, done up like something from a fairy tale with all the princess elements thrown in I so desperately wanted to visit one. They create such enchanting wonderlands within their store. And nothing is as thrilling as finally being able to touch, swatch and experience a brand before making your purchases. So far my relation with the brand has been through pictures and online sites. But I wanted to see it for real….sounds strange but really you need to stand before a kiosk of your favorite unreachable brand to understand my feelings here ๐Ÿ™‚

So we picked the one in Vivocity to go and visit. Like I mentioned in my earlier posts, Vivocity is the point from where you can take different routes/transport to Sentosa. Since we were very short in time we had to squeeze things in as best we could. So here I was checking the map in the mall and then hunting down the Etude “store” there…..and as luck was to have it….I got a kiosk instead of the store ๐Ÿ™ Cant tell you how disappointed I was. My grandiose dreams of a store got compressed into a macro mini version. Sigh! But I had to be happy with the fact that I could actually experience it face to face.

Had so much fun swatching what I could see there. They didn’t have EVERYTHING but still a good collection. I was even pointing stuff out to my sis…look that is there……Ooooo look they even have that….Shriek! they have that too….totally star struck I tell ya. And my sis gave me an indulgent and tolerant smile ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes indulge the crazy woman ๐Ÿ˜›

One of the first things I picked was this Rosy Tint Lips in the shade 03 Rose Petal. This is a matte finish lip stain. I then spotted the Princess Etoinette collection there and they had more pieces from the earlier launch present than the current one. Didn’t see anything that I liked or didn’t already have. I picked the Water Color Blusher in No. 2 Coral. I really wanted to see how this one was ever since I first spotted it online. There were 2 shades in it – Pink and Coral. I felt the pink one to be too bright and almost neon-ish for my skin so I chose the latter. This gives a lovely natural flush of color.

I swatched a couple of their shadows and they had amazing pigmentation and texture to them. I wanted to pick something that I didn’t already have…talk about tough choices. The SA was super sweet and she suggested that I try the Bling Bling Eye Stick in the shade 08 Ivory Baby Star. This is a cream shadow and is a champagne color. Next I spotted their Juicy Gradient Nails. I love these. It is a set of 3 nails paints usually within the same color family. The one bought earlier had a base shade and then two types of glitter paint. But this one had 2 shades and one glitter paint. Since the n*de nails trend is so big there I picked this set called Kahlua Milk. You really need to try these sets out ๐Ÿ™‚

I then moved on to the skin care….Korean brands make such interesting products and what unique ideas! I picked a Blending Sleeping Cream from their Moonlight in Spoon line. Yes it is a cream….in a spoon ๐Ÿ˜€ There are supposed to be two different products in it which I need to blend in the spoon area before use. Excited to see how it works out. I then spotted this Scrub Massage Bubble from their Sunshine in Spoon. This does not come in the spoon format. They had 4-5 variants in it and I got myself the rice one.

I was so glad that they had the Wonder Pore Modeling Clay. I really wanted to try this! You make a paste with the given powder, put it on your pores and let it dry. It dries and acquires a putty like texture. When you peel it the blackheads and muck is supposed to come out from your pores. It provides 7 in 1 pore solution. One box is usually meant for one use and to be applied all over the face but I will just use it for my nose and nearby area. Would have to transfer the contents to a separate container for storage.

Etude house

They have introduced a new range of mask sheets from A to Z….ie they have 26 different sheets with different key ingredients. I picked J which is made off Job’s Tears and is for Revitalizing & Smoothing. You should check out some of the other interesting ingredients in this range. Since these are a fairly new launch they haven’t turned up online yet. My mom wanted to try a snail range. The only thing Etude had in snail was this mask sheet which is called Darling Sheet Mask.

Another new introduction was this Argan Seed hair mask which is part of their famous Silk Scarf range. They have launched 4 different variants and the one I picked is meant for damaged hair. There are 2 parts to it. One is the hair pack which you apply like conditioner after shampoo and the other is a leave in serum of sorts. The variants are categorized based on the level of damage and TLC the hair needs. Level 1 is Camellia, 2 is Jojoba, 3 is Argan and 4 is Avocado.

They are so so freaking generous when it comes to samples. I didnt say one word to the SA and she kept stuffing them in my bag! I actually ended up saying – “You are giving me more…. O_o” Imagine that! On top of that I was given lucky draw coupons for additional gifts and I got a super cute desk calender. Each month had a special coupon in it but which could only be redeemed in the Singapore store in that particular month. I was given a Go Back kit containing 4 products, 2 tubes of AC Clinic Pink Daily Spot, 4 sachets of Wonder Pore Corrector, 2 sachets of CC cream in Glow, 2 sachets of CC Cream in Silky, 2 sachets of Magic Bubble, 2 sachets of Fresh Cherry Tint in PK001 and another 2 in RD301. Phew! I gave half of everything to my sis to use.

In the end I’m just going to repeat myself….I freakin LOVE Etude ๐Ÿ˜€ And one day I’m going to see their proper store….and it just might be the one in Korea! Who knows ๐Ÿ™‚ Bitten by the travel bug and now my floodgates have opened up! Going to work my a$$ off…save me some moolah and go off wandering some other place. For now, I hoped you liked my haul. Full reviews will be coming up subsequently and I will mention the priced in each individual post. Well that it for now – Todahloo!
