     Skin wise this was one of the toughest winters that I had to face. My face was dessert dry and none of my regular creams were doing me any good. I even switched to oil based serums and skin oils but still didn’t get any relief! And to top it off I ended up breaking out!!! Can you even begin to imagine that? Dry painful skin with breakout and rash on it. I mean how does something like that even be possible?!? Even my favorite foundation couldn’t give me the dewy looking skin that I loved it for. Thankfully I came across 2 products which helped me get a hold on the situation and return my skin to normal. Just in time too for my first film shoot 🙂 I will review the product that helped me with my breakout/rash situation in another post. Here I will talk about the cream which helped to heal my skin and make it look “ageless”

     The cream comes in a plastic tub-like packing. It has a pump to dispense the product. Its the first time I have seen such a unique dispenser for a packing like this. Makes its easy to take out the product and prevents contamination. One pump was good enough for me to cover my entire face during winters. But now for summers half a pump is more than adequate. You can even take out the pump to prevent product wastage or if you want to put the cream in a smaller container for travel. I found it to be a little bulky to carry along in luggage.

     The cream is white in color and is quite dense. There is a mild fragrance to it which becomes undetectable once you put it on. Since it quite rich it coated my skin and left a light film of oil on it. Though I say that the cream is rich but I didn’t find it moisturizing in the beginning  ie it didn’t give my dry skin immediate relief on applying. I would apply the cream 2-3 times in the day initially but over time the frequency reduced to once a day as my skin started to change and began to retain moisture. During summers my skin becomes oily within a few minutes of application and I need to blot it out.

     Like I mentioned earlier that I didn’t find this cream moisturizing when I tried it on initially. I was having parch dry skin then. It just coated my skin and gave it a temporary smoothness. I needed 2-3 pumps just to be able to coat my skin completely with the product. I noticed a change in my skin from the 7th day onwards. I realized that I needed lesser amount of the product to saturate my skin and the moisturized feeling was lasting for longer. I even cut down the application time to once a day. The actual impact of the change hit me when someone said that I looked a lot younger than my age and this was when I had no trace of makeup on.

     Not only did it restore and repair my skin but it actually made it look better. My skin got a natural glow and I started to go about bare faced as I realized that the imperfections and discolorations seemed lesser than before. Though it is a little rich for the kind of summers we have but I still turn to it as I’m hooked to the results it gave me. Since the weather turned I have been breaking out sporadically but I don’t feel as if the cream is at fault coz I’m drinking very less water and my food habits suck big time coz of stress. I have being using the cream for about 4 months now and even took a break from it for about a month to see what changes would come to my skin. Though my face did not become dry nor did it require any other cream/moisturizer but slowly the unevenness in the skin tone returned to an extent and the glow dimmed a tad.

     Overall I was quite happy with the results. Now it is a pricey affair ie it costs $95 (approx Rs. 6010/-) for 50 gms of product (they have free shipping over $50 order) but given the difference I have seen in my skin in a short period of use I don’t mind the price tag one bit. Plus after 4 months of use I have barely laid a dent on the quantity and have a lot of product still left which will last me for over a year I’m sure or maybe even more. I think this will be best suited for normal to extremely dry skin people in their late 20’s/ early 30’s. I don’t have any wrinkles so I cant say how effective it will be against them but it does take care of the first signs of aging. Very thankful to the PR of the brand for sending it my way.
