Continuing on the Archie’s Girls haul today I present to you some of the lipglosses I picked up from the line. I bought 3 out of the 6 that are there – Strawberry Malt, Mall Madness and Kiss & Dont Tell. There are 3 in the Betty line and 3 in Veronica one. I felt that the Betty ones were quite pale when I saw the swatches online and only one appealed to me. I liked the colors in the Veronica one better so ended up picking 2 from there. The last one seemed too dark for my taste. Paid 15 pounds each (approx Rs. 1237/-) for 4.8 gms of product. 

     The outer carton is the same in the collection. The main packing of the product differs from product to product. The lipgloss comes in the standard MAC container for them but with a white cap and the respective characters printed on the plastic body of the tube. The whole thing stands about 3 inches tall along with the cap. It comes with the standard doe foot applicator of MAC lipgloss.

     The products have that signature vanilla caramel scent to them which makes them very appealing. I was under the impression that you get different textures for the lipgloss in MAC. Like there is a gloss one which is thicker on the lips and then there is a glass one which goes on like liquid. When I saw the outer packing both the terms were mentioned for the product so I’m not really sure about my theory (No I do not have a PHD. in MAC). These feel like a thick cover when you put it on. Honestly not a fan of the texture. 

Kiss & Don’t Tell:

     Kiss & Don’t Tell from the Betty line is a light pink color which goes on slightly streaky….you need to go over a time or two to set it evenly. I sort of feel that due to the texture this might sit on the dry patches if one has such issues. I could not spot any sort of shimmer in the color. A good subtle shade (atleast on me) for daily wear. I guess it suits the Betty image to a T with the whole girl-next-door vibe.

Strawberry Malt:

     Strawberry Malt from the Veronica line looks very red in tube and translates to a lighter translucent version on the lips. This does not go on streaky like the first one and feels less heavy in comparison  But if you rub your lips then the color shifts and some areas look darker. There was no shimmer in this one either. I guess this is a shade that Veronica would wear in the day. I think that it is quite wearable in that sense as it is a subtle color and can be carried off easily. Given the name I felt that it should have had more of a pink tone to it but it looks like a true red on me.

Mall Madness:

     Mall Madness from the Veronica line is a pink toned purple shade. Normally I avoid purple colors coz of the blue tone to it but this is quite unlike those as it leans towards the pink side more. Plus I could make out pink and copper glitter in it. This does not go streaky either and has the best texture out of the three….it feels the lightest on. A pretty color which I feel can be carried off quite well in the day. It is a little sticky when compared to the Malt one but not as much as the Kiss one.

     All the colors provide a decent amount of coverage but are not completely opaque. I bought all the ones that appealed to me from the collection as I felt they were quite wearable. Remember that they will look a little darker on your lips than the hand swatch…just a little. None of them are moisturizing but they are not drying either. They are like a cover on your lips….just sitting there. They have a decent amount of glossiness to them and do not achieve the “liquid–look”. If you like glosses then these could be worth taking a peek at but I dont think they are worth the price tag per say.

     I just have the one lipstick remaining to review. I do want to pick some other colors from them in the lipstick but not sure if I will get the ones I’m eyeing. Another product that Im keen on is the Pearlmatte Face Powder. None of the eyeshadows look appealing and honestly I have too many of those to begin with.
