L’Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss Flash Dance and Who’s the Boss

L’Oreal launched the Cannes Collection 2016 back in April which has a couple of glosses and eyeliner pencils (they are amazing) in it as far as I know, part of their Infallible range. Out here there are 3 types of finishes available in the Mega Gloss range – Cream, Dazzle and Xtreme Resist which comprises of 15 shades in total. I was sent 2 of the glosses, one from the cream range (Who’s the Boss) and the other from dazzle (Flash Dance). They are priced at Rs. 850/- for 8ml of product (they are available for Rs. 680/- at Nykaa right now). Also known as the No Compromise Gloss abroad they have 2 additional finishes available there – Matte and Neon bringing the shade total to 25! I love the fact that each type of finish has a different scent to it. Let’s take a look at each shade/ finish:

I love the name of this coz it was one of my favorite TV shows 🙂 This one is in the Cream also know as the Milky finish as I mentioned above and according to them it smells like praline. They have included a really unique brush in these glosses and it is really good. Since it has a curve it kind of pulls out the product like a spoon and then the pointed edge on the other side helps to deposit the product properly. It even makes the lining of the lips super easy. Love it! I like the fact that you can build the shade up aka control how intense or subtle you want it to be. I find that it is non sticky and really coats my lips. I would describe this shade as a soft wine/berry color. I like the fact that I can play with its intensity and make it work both for day or night.

Glitter…check! Brown…check! Glossy…check! Welcome to the 90’s :D. I will describe this color as a rust brown packed with gold shimmers…but just this much does not do justice to the shade. It has this purple tone to it at times…very unusual! They say that this is in “disco fruit” fragrance whatever that means…I would call it fruity with a hint of tropical to it. This seems more opaque on than the color mentioned above and you need lesser number of swipes to get a fully covered intense lip. This is definitely an eye catching shade not for the faint hearted. Personally I dislike brown based shades in lippies and would not have picked this one but since I love both shimmer and gloss I will look into the other colors available in this finish.

Since they are a gloss they really dont survive a meal but they do put up a good fight. Without eating this lasted for about 3-4 hours on me. They tend to gradually fade on you rather than wiping off in one go. The formulation of both the finishes is quite nice but their opacity varies. I would have loved to try out something from the Neon range if only they had launched it here 🙁 Since I am a gloss lover I am extremely partial to these and happy to see that these neither bleed nor are sticky in the slightest bit. Which color was your favorite from this? Have you tried the range? What colors would you recommend from it? Waiting to hear from you…See you later divas!
