A period of firsts! Posted my 1st tag post couple of hours back and now I’m back with the 1st ever empties post on the blog! Let me hear you say yea! Ok I’m done with the goofy of the day. I have been obsessed with doing an empties post ever since I saw one on Shouri of Makeup, Fashion and Everything I Like. Let me tell you it is not an easy thing to do especially for a hoarder like me. But I was adamant that I would do it especially since it is a benchmark of sorts….an accomplishment!

I practically got an eye strain watching the levels move on the products. Each time I would think today is day that so and so bottle will empty there would be enough left for another use! Sigh! Cant tell you in words how frustrating it can get. I really like to jump from product to product especially with bath and shampoo kind of stuff. That is another reason why you don’t get to see too many of those posts on my blog as I don’t stick long enough to one. But the tides are changing 🙂 So much so that 4 out of the 5 I will mention are shampoo/conditioner.

Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover

Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover

I think I got this almost 2 years back. That time I had freshly developed an interest in beauty blogs. I think this was the first bi-phase (2 liquids) remover that I got. The concept was new to me when I got this. I don’t know how much I paid for it back then but this is 125 ml. This is a nice remover but it did not pass the acid test for me ie remove L’Oreal Million Lashes mascara (water resistant version). But apart from that it is decent. You need to shake it up properly before use and it does not irritate the eyes or leave a film in them on use. But for the price that you will end up paying for it I would recommend that you either spend it on the MAC Cleanse Off Oil or Clinique Take The Day Off Balm.

I like to use L’Oreal shampoos in general and usually they act as my “base” shampoos. By that I mean that I use them to clean my scalp (I have oily scalp) and then use a treatment shampoo on top. I like the pink one the best from them but honestly I’m not really partial. My mom bought a couple of these sort of like a bulk buy and we are basically going through those one by one. Didn’t pay attention to the “color protecting” part of it. 185 ml of product costs around 130-150 bucks. Worth a look.

This one I was just finishing coz my sis left it behind. I would have probably not purchased it on my own and I will tell you why….the smell! It is so masculine, very strong and overpowering almost. Hits me in my brain somewhere….whoa! But apart from that L’Oreal makes very nice shampoos and conditioners and higher you go up their brand ladder the more effective are the products. This one conditions my hair really well and I am not left wanting for more (much). Apart from that my hair does not break….it comes out from the roots so I cant validate that claim of its. But I will not be buying this again due to the aforementioned quality. Price is Rs. 580/- for 200 g of product.

I had high hopes from this. But it did not live up to my expectations. Ok let me clarify…this is supposed to belong to a brand which specializes in curing hair loss (according to their claim). They have a few products which are supposed to contribute in arresting hair fall. This product is supposed to be an add on. So they don’t really claim that this will in stopping the fall rather will make your hair healthy. I did find my hair shinier than usual when I using this but that is pretty much it. This costs around 1500 bucks for the full size product and I would rather spend that in getting Kerastase. That is a personal preference. If you are into the whole “natural”, “organic”, etc. bandwagon you can look into this one. But not something I will buy. You can read my detailed review of this HERE and more about the brand HERE.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall or the in this case the bigger the name, the worse they perform :p Ok fine PJ. But this one was the worst buy. Didn’t condition my hair for nuts! I have oily scalp but dry ends and I need some intense moisture. This was very reasonable – Rs. 345/- for 250 ml of product. But that is about it. You would think that it is loaded up with natural goodness or something and if it failed in conditioning properly it might have just helped in some other manner – WRONG! Sigh! I had to test this out and that was the worst 3 months for me. Had to put in additional product in my hair just to get by. Not touching this stuff ever again. You can read my detailed review HERE.

So those were my empties. I had one or two more but I’m keeping them aside so that I can do a post next month too along with some others that I’m expecting to go through this month. Don’t look at me like that :p I do want to do one of these every month if for nothing else then for mental satisfaction….so there. Have you tried any of these? What has been your experience with it? Waiting to hear from you. See you around!
