Got my 1st blog award a few days back from the lovely Pooja of Dialifestyle. Thanks so so much for it girl. I did get this award from someone else before but I refused to accept it then coz she thought to “creatively” modify the award to feature her blog link in it. I found that very distasteful and disrespectful. So that was then…I was very put off by it coz that would have been the first time I would have gotten an award. Oh well….but it was very sweet and kind of Pooja to consider me for it 🙂
Before I proceed here are some basic rules for the thing:

So let me first answer the questions put forth by Pooja:
1. How would you justify your name with your nature?
Shikha means wisdom and I do feel like I come across as a mature person. I can be a bit of a know-it-all and end up spouting advice to anyone who will (or will not) listen 😛 I love to read and find how things tick. As my prof in MBA had adequately put it that researching was my main skill set. Given this nature and my habit for trying to dissect anything and everything has probably made me “wise” (well I like to think so). Or my friends can totally call me out on my BS 😀
2. Your all time favorite movie?
Gosh! There are just so many of them…..LOR, White chicks, Godfather, Miss congeniality, Jackie Chan flicks…..etc etc The list is endless and I love them all for different reasons. But one movie that I can watch on repeat would be Return of the king (LOR).
3. If you could be a different person for a day, who would you choose to be and why?
I want to exchange places with a jet setter. I would love to travel to new places….breakfast in one place, lunch in another and dinner in a completely different one. Sounds so exciting!
4. Who was your childhood hero?
That had to be Spiderman at a point! I wanted to be one….even would search for spiders in the house to get bitten apparently 😀 The way he threw his web out was so cool and appealing….Spiderman spiderman, friendly neighborhood spiderman, does everything a spider can…..
5. If you were made invisible for a day, what would you do?
Somehow the idea doesn’t appeal to me one bit. Don’t want to be invisible.
6. What is your favorite food?
I love anything Chinese! Live, breath and crave it to bits. I can have it all day everyday!
7. How would you want your dream house to be?
It has to be classy and very elegant with a touch of opulence. I love the houses that have white themes to it offset with pretty flowers and decor to give it that soft touch of color.
8. If you could own one gadget, what would it be?
I have been thinking of getting myself a good DSLR since a long time but it has just not been panning out for me. Hopefully I will be a proud owner of one soon 🙂 If it has to be a fantasy one then an instant weight loss machine! I saw it in a cartoon once long long back. This woman steps into a mold which then presses together and releases a lot of steam and lo behold she comes out with a perfect figure! Imagine that 🙂
9. What is your take on the concept of zero-size?
A woman should have curves and in all the right places. The stick like thinness is not appealing one bit. Sure it looks good on cam but that friggin thing does add 10 pounds so you aint seeing a size 0 actually are you?!? 😀
10.If you were made the prime minister of the country, what would be the first thing you would do?
Pass all the laws that are meant for and essential for women safety. Also lowering the juvenile age for heinous crime. The condition of women is becoming pathetic day by day and we are on a fast track to the dark ages. I will do whatever is possible to prevent that.
