I’m a huge fan of subscription boxes as most of you would know by now. The anticipation of what little treasures are waiting to be discovered each time I open one is extremely thrilling and addictive of sorts for me. I went through a whole Memebox craze phase and suffered some major withdrawals when I couldn’t get them anymore (well my wallet did a whole booty shaking happy dance at that :P). In recent times some Indian brands have adopted this concept which I feel is a brilliant move. Though I prefer multi-brand boxes as it gives me a wider range of choice but single brand boxes allow me to try out products which I might have been hesitant about investing in. I have been eyeing Gia Bath and Body Works for the longest time especially since I heard a lot about their soaps. And this October my wish got fulfilled 🙂

 

 

     The October box came with 6 products in it – Clementine Body Wash, Chocolate Facial Cleanser, Vitamin E Body Butter, Bulgarian Lavender Silk Soap Bar, Fleur Scented Butter and Scented Candle. The products come in this small cardboard box which is well wrapped in bubble paper and then sent in a sturdier outer packing. You get pretty generous sample sizes to try out for Rs. 600/-. All the products are handcrafted and are free from any kind of chemical or preservative. Let’s look into the products I got this time around one by one:-

 

 

 

 

 

     If you a citrus lover then you must try this out coz the fragrance is beautiful. I love refreshing a citrus wash feels. This is a 50 ml bottle and the full size one is for 200 ml which costs Rs. 300/- This contains Mandarin oil in it and is supposed to leave your skin supple. I’m yet to try this out and will do detailed reviews for all the product once I give them a go.

 

 

 

     Ok this I want to eat!!! It looks like chocolate powder with slivers of almond in it and smells delectable. Damn! For a self confessed chocoholic this one is testing my endurance 😛 Since it contains chocolate I’m expecting this to be hydrating and just what my skin needs this season. Very excited to try this out. I got 15 gms of product and the full sized one is for 100 gms which costs Rs. 600/- This is part of their permanent line. 

 

 

 

     This is a white cream with a light texture to it and blue beads (which is the Vit. E I’m guessing) added in the mix. I felt this had a slight powdery smell to it. This gets absorbed into the skin pretty fast and leaves it soft with a slight sheen to it. Very nice! The sample is about 15 gms and the full sized product is 100 gms which is for Rs. 650/-

 

 

 

     Ahh I finally have my hands on one of the “infamous” soap bars. I really like its scent and can detect the lavender tone to it mixed in with something else that I cant put my finger on. The bar looks like a piece of abstract art with the lavender and pink in it. This is a 25 gms sample and the full sized one can cost you anywhere from Rs 350 to 800/- (I’m guessing it depends on the size/weight you pick).

 

 

 

     I remember a couple of years back you would get these solid perfumes in small ceramic/stone containers which were quite a novelty back then. Gia brings to you her own version of it in a “butter” format made with Shea butter, Beeswax and Sweet almond oil. This is quite an exotic combinations of floral fragrances! You need very little of it to apply on your pulse points. This is a full sized ie 15 gms and it costs Rs. 350/-

 

 

 

     Ooo I love scented candles! They especially appeal to me when I’m in a slump and don’t feel like working/writing. I light a candle, put on some music and let the work flow 🙂 It is very difficult to find some really good scented candles out here which actually emit a perfume and fill your room with it. Gia is adding a line of home fragrances and this candle is amazing! It has a long burn time and fills my room plus the corridor outside with its scent. And no the fragrance is not sharp or unpleasant in any way to have such a range. I’m guessing this is full sized and it costs around 300 bucks plus (sorry I threw away the tag containing its details 🙁 ). This one will be on my repurchase list. 

 

     Well that wraps up this unboxing. What do you think about the box? This was my second box from the brand and once I get over with all the products I have accumulated I might get myself another one.
