After trying out the Double Serum I will say that so far I am impressed with this brand and am quite willing to try out the products they have on offer. The SA asked me some questions concerning my age, skin and concerns before suggesting a couple of products and gave me some samples to try out. This particular cream I have used for 7-8 days
Most of the Clarins products that I have used/tested so far have a floral scent to them. This one is no different. It is hard for me to pin point exactly what this one smells like but the scent is quite pleasing and sort of envelops you when you put it on. I used it before going to bed and liked how the smell lingered on my skin making me feel relaxed. Though it says that it is a cream the texture is quite light sort of like a thicker moisturizer. Gets absorbed into the skin quickly.
These days my skin is tending more towards being dry and feels stretchy at times on the cheeks and the laugh lines. This cream provides moisturization but at times it didn’t feel enough and I had to go over some areas 2-3 times with it to feel comfortable. Now even though my T-zone looks and feels dry it acts tricky with me and suddenly decides to break out when I end up using such moisturizing creams. But luckily that didn’t happen with this one. I was quite surprised honestly that I didn’t get any breakouts.
Now coming to the results. I was not expecting anything out of this especially since I had no clue about this product. But the results have me amazed. I don’t know about you but for me when I wake up my skin looks like a disaster. Remember the adage – “looks like something the cat dragged in” oh well maybe not as bad but it certainly feels that way. How many of us actually look at ourselves in the mirror first thing in the morning and go “Hello Gorgeous” 😛 More often than not it is a flashback to the ghost from the Ring series 😀
This product makes my skin look so fresh when I get up. Actually a lot better than what it looks like after my CTM routine. I actually don’t feel like washing my skin being afraid that I would loose the glow. Yes my skin glows in morning. And it is not one of those glows where when you touch your face you will feel a slight film of oil. Rather it is one of the healthy-skin-glow-from-within types. I really like what it does for me. Honestly if I had known about it before I might not have bought the serum but got this one instead.
But I will pick it up once I’m done with the serum coz I was using that as my night time skin care thing. Hmmm not sure right now if I’m will to give that one up completely. Maybe will buy em both….who knows. I will cross that bridge when I come to it 🙂 Do try this one out. They have one for all skin types but that too is a cream version.
