Hello my sweets! I didn’t do the September Favorites earlier as I had an odd 1 or 2 products that made it to my list that month. Felt weird to do a post for that kind of number. So here I am with the combined favorites of 2 months but unfortunately only 5 items made it to my list and one of them is a beauty subscription box 🙂 A nice mix of products again this time around so without further ado lets do a quick recap as to why they made the list…
OMG!!! Love! Love! Love! This kicks some serious a$$ on all levels. From color to pigmentation to staying power this little number swept me off my feet! Definitely a must have and I have added a couple more to my list which I will send across to my sister to get for me. Read the full review here to know why it has left me gushing.
Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lipcolor Tango Pink
+
This was unexpected. I really loved the color on me. A semi matte texture which does not last eating but the color payoff is really good. Plus it looks fab on the lips and the color is very pretty. Read the full review here.
Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Hooked on Pink
I am so loving this launch by Maybelline. Just piling on the colors from it and I think I have about 10 of em and more are on their way 🙂 Such gorgeous colors and finishes and since I have broken my stamping jinx I’m having oodles of fun with them. Seriously if you still haven’t got these you are missing out something totally great! Read the full review for Hooked on Pink here.
Glamabox
This beauty box all the way from Singapore is simply the best. So far I have mainly gotten skin care stuff from them and hoping to get a varied mix in the near future. The gorgeous art work on it took my heart. Jam packed with goodies this will overwhelm you with the number of pieces in it. Personally for me it is totally worth the price tag. I get to try so many new South Asian brands. Read my review on the September Box here.
Crabtree & Evelyn Iris Body Lotion
I really wanted to pick a lotion from the brand and after smelling all the different varieties in the store I narrowed it down to 2 that I really liked. This one won coz it was just so different than anything I had ever smelt before. The texture too is quite unique. I really like how quickly it gets absorbed into the skin and does not leave any film behind all the while providing adequate moisturization. Read my full review on it here.
That wraps up my favorites for September and October. New boxes and products will be coming this month and I’m excited to see what else will find its way to this list. Oh I found some really great pieces in a flea market recently and to check them you can go to my Instagram profile (link in the sidebar). I will catch you soon – take care!
When I first saw the announcement that Urban Decay was bringing out lipsticks I was so damn stoked that I cant put it in words. After I saw their presentation vid I was left drooling and wanting more. Just had to get my hands on one! I searched some shopping sites but the soaring dollar rates had me literally crying so pointless to say I didn’t buy anything. My elder sis who lives in US asked me what I wanted for my birthday and this was probably the first thing I told her apart from the palettes. Honestly she has a huge list of what all I want from there which is probably a mile long. I was not expecting that she would send it over through someone and I will be able to hold this baby in my hand so soon.
Amount of product that you get in a tube |
Right now I’m more excited about having this than the two famous iconic palettes from the brand. Apparently UD used to do lipsticks earlier but this is a revamped more grown up version of its predecessor. From the packing to the formulation everything has gone a complete over haul. So enough of babbling….lets dive into the glorious thing.
The tube is about 2 inches tall and has a metal finish body. The UD logo and name have been embossed on the cap and the entire thing has this interesting design on it…all valleys and bumps. When you pop the cap you come face to face with the bright purple metal body inside which is just so chic. Catfight is a fuchsia color….a pinkish red if you will with a hint of sheen. There is no fragrance or flavor to it and an absence of glitter/shimmer. The pigmentation is just so intense! One swipe if all you need and you get full rich coverage.
I have dry lips so I felt this to be neither moisturizing nor drying. If I had used a balm underneath this would have been more comfortable but even on its own it was not bad. It gives you a very pretty creamy looking finish. After a session of eating/drinking the color fades slightly and that too only from the bottom lip a tad which gets taken care of by a little smacking of the lips. This lasts for a long time on and I had it on for more than 6 hours. Obviously it does not look as bright as before but what I really like is that it does not leave your lips completely n~de. Since I have pigmented lips such a thing becomes more of an issue for me and hence something that comes to my attention.
But even after over 6 hours of wear I could barely make out the pigmentation of my lips. So to put it shortly it does not come off unless you take it off. UD promises you insane color payoff and they deliver on it fully! Honestly I would recommend this for the pigmentation alone. Plus they don’t feather or bleed a bit….just stay where you leave em. I’m not in a habit of using separate lip pencils and usually use the tip of the lippy as the liner. I already have a couple of colors lined up to add to the list that my sister has 😀 There are 22 shades to indulge in and apparently all are super pigmented even the lighter tones….For $22 (approx Rs. 1397/-) for 2.8 gms of product they are worth their price.
In the words of Joey….Packing – Good! Color – Good! Pigmentation – Good! Lasting power – Gooood! Do try to get your hands on these if you are a lipstick lover. I assure you that you wont regret it one bit! Are you game to give it a go? Have you already tried one? Let me know what you think. Asta-la-vista!
Would you purchase Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Catfight again? – Though I really like the color I would prefer to try out the other shades from the brand for sake of variety.
Would you recommend Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Catfight to your friend? – Un…no. I want it all for myself! Preciousssss. Lol ok that was my goofy for the day. I would absolutely recommend it!
