I think that it is very apt that I’m starting the new year with a haul post 😀 BTW wishing you guys a very Happy New Year! Hope this year brings you closer to realizing your dreams and help you realize your potential as a “boundless being”. I came across the site KollectionK while browsing on social media and fell in love with their collection. What drew me in was the banner featuring the Marvel collab with The Face Shop. I first heard about it when I was in Malaysia last year. But unfortunately it had not launched in stores while I was there and once I came back I completely forgot about it. I love the Avengers franchise and to have a makeup line featuring some of my fav characters was just aces! I picked a few items from the collection which I will be talking about shortly. The site was having quite a few offers and lets just say that I went a little cart happy…thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it btw…though I had to remove some items eventually coz I went just a tad (ahem) overboard 😛 I didn’t have to pay anything for shipping since my order was over $60. I placed my order on the 18th of December and I got my parcel by the 3rd-4th of Jan which was not bad at all given the rush of the holiday season. Without further ado let me just show you what all I picked up…
A’PIEU+RILAKKUMA Character Slippers
Aren’t these super cute! RILAKKUMA is a Japanese character which features in picture books and merchandise. The name translates into Relax (Rilak) bear (kuma) 😀 I love character slippers and had my eye on them since quite sometime. I finally caved and picked these. They only had one size in this which is a bit of a downer as they are small for my feet. But they hug my feet and are perfect for the chilly weather. Mickey (my cocker spaniel in case you didn’t know) tried to wrestle them off my feet when I put them on first 😛 Since it is a soft toy he automatically has dibs on it…silly human! After a bit of a struggle he finally let me have em…how generous 😛 Anyhoo…I paid $15.12 for these which is approx Rs. 957/-
ETUDE Laugh Lines Care Patch
Being on the “wrong side” of 30 I have started to obsess about the lines on my face. I have been focusing on trying a lot of new skincare products especially going through the samples of products that I have ended up collecting. I have come across some really nice finds which I will share with you in a separate post. But the laugh lines are a bit of hassle and not all anti aging products are able to deal with them effectively. I found this product quite intriguing as it is especially designed for the problem. I hope it addresses the issue some what as this is the first time I will be trying out an area specific product if I can call it that. Will keep you posted on the results. I paid $1.94 for this which is approx Rs. 123/-
It’S SKIN Power 10 Formula Essence WR Effector
Like I said I am leaning heavily on skincare products these days and my focus has been on finding products which provide adequate hydration while helping to firm the skin and clear out fine lines. I have not tried anything from this brand before. They have a lot of different types of serums in this range focusing on different issues. I picked the WR Effector one as it has “wrinkle-diminishing adenosine and firming caviar for youthful skin”. They have 12 other variants apart from this if you want to look into it. I will keep you posted on how I feel about this later on. I payed $10.94 for this which is approx Rs. 692/-
TONYMOLY Changing U Magic Foot Peeling Shoes
I have tried a similar product from another brand aka > Luxaderme < earlier and I will say I loved the results. My feet have not gotten as bad as they were then as I have been giving them a lot of diligent care to prevent the situation from happening. I apply a light layer of coconut oil to them after my bath and that has made a world of difference to my feet. Granted I don’t venture out in the sun after I do that coz that will cause them to tan. But if I have to step out then I ensure to apply the oil only to the soles of my feet. I decided to give these a go to see if they were as good as the Luxaderme ones. I paid $4.08 for these which is approx Rs. 258/- which is a whole lot cheaper than Luxaderme which are for Rs. 850/-
A’PIEU Milk One-Pack Mask
I bought 2 variants in this – coffee milk (firming) and banana milk (vitality). I was expecting this to be like a milk carton containing a liquid/powder mask (didn’t read the description properly except for what it was for) but these are mask sheets. Honestly the cute packing drew me in to these. They have 6 variants in these addressing different issues and supposedly contain/made of milk. Hopefully they turn out to be good. I paid $1.14 per sheet which is approx Rs. 72/- which I feel is dirt cheap for a sheet mask!
THE FACE SHOP x MARVEL
Ah now for the pièce de résistance of my haul…the Marvel collection! I picked a couple of things from here – Iron Man Metal Lip Color in 02 Pink ($10.68 – Rs. 676/-), 2 in 1 Curling Mascara in Iron Man Red ($12.16 – Rs. 770/-), Spiderman Matt Touch Lipstick in PK04 ($9.89 – Rs. 626/-) and Ink Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Iron Man Red ($6.67 – Rs. 422/-). God lord the packing! These I will definitely preserve!!! I will go into detail in the post that I will do just on the collection. There were a few other things I wanted from the collection which were unfortunately sold out on this site but I found them somewhere else. So I will do a combined post on the collection once those come in as well as individual reviews for the products. This collection is still available in places and if you are Marvel fan then these are worth checking out!
Gotta love a place which doles out samples! I am focusing on going through all the samples that I have collected over the years and have found some great pieces hidden in them. They sent me mainly skincare samples which I like. Hopefully I will cover them in my samples post.
All in all the products were quite affordable and the KollectionK site was a really good shopping experience. I have a new place to indulge my K-makeup/k-skincare obsession in. They even gave me an option in the end to choose what I would like to have them do if something I bought was out of stock/sold out…I opted for the refund option provided instead of a replacement. Good product collection, free samples, decent to no shipping cost, quick and hassle free shipping makes this site worth checking out! So what did you like from my haul? Anything you want to pick for yourself? What would you like me to talk about first? What do you think of the site KollectionK? Will you or have you shopped from them before? What makes a shopping site attractive to you ie makes you want to go back to them? Well I hope you liked the post! I will see you around me amigos…astala vista!
