Picture this…you get your nails done at the salon…you enjoy a good 45 minutes of pampering where you are rubbed, scrubbed and pack(ed). Then the attendant paints your nails in a sparkling shade. You with me till now? Ok I’m not one of those chicks who gets the multiple layer thing done…base, 2 coats of nail paint and top coat routine. Simple reason…I feel that the more layers you put on the faster the paint ends up chipping. Two coats of the paint and I’m good to go. Have you noticed that the polish tends to look shinier for some reason. And its not like that they are putting something special on. Even if I have the same one back home but somehow the one I got done from the parlor shines brighter and lasts longer for some reason. Does it happen with you too? Or am I only one to feel this way???
The dullness of the color is one of my top pet peeves when it comes to nail polish followed by its lasting power. Don’t you just hate it when some paints loose their sheen and also start fraying at the tips like within a couple of hours of application. A good polish will last for 4-5 days on an average. What if I told you that with the LNY nail polish I got slight fraying on the tips of my dominant hand on the 3rd day and visible chipping on the 8th day of application!?! And not only that they maintained the shine pretty much throughout. I mean can nail fanatics give me hallelujah here! They have a huge collection with all sorts of shades and finishes at a rate of Rs. 350/-
My Little Red Number is a beautiful blood red color! I am absolutely fascinated by it and it is my favorite shade of red. Always wanted my hair streaked with such a color 😀 The square glass bottle comes with a standard applicator and it contains 12ml of the product. One coat is opaque enough to cover the nail completely but I used two coats to get a better finish. I found that it dried fast enough and for a person like me who is plagued with getting imperfections on my paint coz I just cant sit still for the polish to set. There are no shimmer or glitter particles in the color.
LYN is an Indian brand but the formulation of the polish is of French origin. Though on the pricey side when compared to some of the other brands that you get out here but for me it totally makes up for it with its lasting power. I intend to pick out some n*de shades next from them as they have a couple of options in the color tone and also try out the Metallic Collection. Have you tried out this brand yet? Which has been your favorite shade? Looking forward to your suggestions…till I see you again…buh bye!
