On the 15th of Feb my girl Dolon of Poutpretty in partnership with Kiehl’s arranged for a bloggers event. The brand has newly set up shop in our fine city with their first ever outlet here based in Quest Mall. Honestly I cant tell you how glad I am to finally see them here. I had to get my fix of products from Mumbai each time. But now it is available in my backyard and that means more luggage space for me to accommodate my other vices from Mumbai on my next trip 😀 (excuse me while I repeat myself – Win – Win!).

     Kiehl’s is mainly known for its skincare but it has diversified and now they carry products for the hair/body and even have lines targeting men’s skin as well as somethings for your toddler. I really like the brick work design found in their stores. They have a central station were you can get your skin tested and have products recommended for your concerns. You can even try out the products to get a sense of how they will work on your skin. They have one of the most friendly staff that you will come across and this is a brand wide feature which I really love. They don’t make you uncomfortable like a lot of SA’s do by hovering around you all the time. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they put you at ease when you sit down to the test the stuff and don’t force anything on you.

     We were given a brief intro about the brand and then everyone proceeded to get their skin tested and try out the stuff. Those in wait for their turn proceeded to the snacks…the staff actually served it out to us 🙂 I got myself a nice cuppa of chamomile tea, a cupcake and some spring rolls. By now I have met most of the Kolkata bloggers but this time around I got to meet a new face 🙂 Bidisha from the Youtube channel Mermaid Bidisha. I have seen her around since a long time and was so glad to have finally met her. I even got to meet Pranaadhika and Tamia finally and it was such a joy to talk to them. Sometimes you meet people who make you feel as if you know them from ages.

     We were given a goody bag which contained a tube of Ultra Facial Cleanser and Fig Leaf & Sage Body Lotion. Apart from this we got a couple of samples (I got a sachet of Red Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque & 2 sachets of Clearly Corrective White Hydrating Moisture Emulsion) of our choice and suiting particular concerns. I really like their generosity with the samples. No not to hog free stuff but I like how they understand how one would like to try out something to see if it is suiting them before investing in it. Kiehl’s is not a cheap brand and each product costs upwards of 1k so this policy of their’s really comes handy when you are on the look out for something. At present I’m using their Calendula Herbal Extract toner and Olive Oil conditioner as part of my daily routine. I will be presenting their reviews shortly.
